I think when these devs make there all powerful game and get lower than expect sales, they'll see PS3 exclusive was not the right way.

but, how do you know thia one is going to sell bad?.

I didn't say it would sell bad. However good it sells (and it will never do anything more than 3 million) unless this game is aimed at the Japanese, then it would of benefitted it more to be on the 360 also or even a 360 exclusive.

oh i see. well i dont agree with you. i believe this game could be aimed to americans or any audience and be ps3 exclusive and still sell good. well thats my opinion. sure it may sell more if it is multi or 360 exclusive but the fact that is ps3 exclusive doesnt mean is going to get lower than expected sales.

Maybe "lower than expected sales" isn't the right term. I think you get what I mean though, they're not maximizing the sales this game could do being exclusive to the PS3.

mm i see what you mean. so thats kinda like saying that all games should be multi in order to maximize the sales it could get?.

Sure, tell that to Kojima and his 4 millions MGS4 sales.

Its about the only franchise that is exclusive to the PS3 and has benefitted from it.

Look I am just commenting on the artical, mainly the "snowballing" comment.

Quality third party exclusive will sell good, it's as simple as that. Every third party exclusive games that sold poorly on PS3 were subpar games with very little marketing: Lair, Haze, Disgaea, Cross Edge etc...

Wait, wait wait... Disgaea 3 was a 'subpar game'? It's niche is incredibly small and that's the largest factor on its sales, but it's anything but subpar. For those who have actually played it, it's one of the best PS3 games there is and one of the best this generation.

No not all games, Microsoft offers incentives (apprantly) when they get a 3rd party exclusive, also they advertise a lot.

Yeah.... I mean people can complain that it isn't really improved graphically from the PS2 games... which may be a problem when graphics are your main draw.

It underperformed the series... but it preformed better then i thought.

They'll probably need to release sequels to recoup dev time since i read they spent like... a year studying the cell before they even started coding D3.  But they'll make it back over the course of the Gen.

I think devs need to focus more on a game's storyline, depth, and immersion than just there pretty game engine.

killzone 2 is an example, the original had a great story line, the sequel had an ok storyline but pales in comparison to the original, the devs focused on there graphics engine not the actual game.

Umm, what? Did you even beat KZ2? It was amazing. You find out that you are the bad guys the whole time! On top of that it's a series of cause and effect relationships on the battlefront. I don't know how you could say that.

Yes I did, but I also "saw" the entire killzone one youtube, I know it isnt a good way to compare, but based on that the story line in the original was far superior to its sequel.

That's great! I'm all for new IPs, but I'm not complaining about anything NIS develops

Is it possible to spew out a more trollish comment than that?

Yeah, there was that another game they announced... and I gotta think they'll have at least 2 more for the PS3 before it's all said.

Should be good... whenever i have the chance to actually play another NIS game.

I'm too crazy when it comes to those games... whenever i play a SRPG unless i really can't... like Fire Emblem on harder levels i make sure I have one of every class and that they're all equally leveled.  ASAP.
