Forums - Nintendo - Tiger Woods 10 is what we originally wanted in the first place...

If you like golf games, or even motion control games.  This is it, amazing controls.  The Disc Golf couldn't be more precise.  Extremely fun and well worth the money.  It is the game most people(casual gamers) bought their wii for 1:1 controls and this is it.  Disc Golf is amazing to say the least, it's honestly like you are really throwing a frisbee.

I highly recommend getting this, if you are looking to get a true 1:1 experience.  I have yet hit the golf ball straight, so I know it is right on.  I have a horrible slice.

I'd give it a 9.2/10

So it works just like its supposed too?

Good because I'm so psyched when I get this copy. Unknown to most, I'm a pretty huge golf fan. I mean I love all sports, but really like golf.

Oh man... Damn country where I need to wait 1 month to get what the others already have. =(

 ..........
^Click on cards to level'em up!!!^ =D

I can't wait to pick this one up, especially if the crappy spring weather continues as it has been and I can't get real golf in. It will definetely be fun to have during the winter.

here's some impressions of it i picked up from another site... the early impressions of this game are all very glowing, as you will see.

"If you're at all on the fence about whether this game is all it's cracked up to be, don't even bother reading this. Get off your keester and get to the nearest retailer and buy the MotionPlus bundle. It's worth its weight in gold.

I picked it up on my lunch break from work so I only got to play for about 40 minutes, which included the tutorials and a rather rushed round at Banff Springs playing as Tiger on Standard difficulty.

Right off the bat, the MotionPlus effect is obvious. The game will track every movement you make, no matter how slight, and it shows you dynamically how you're addressing the ball. This is very helpful when you're trying to put a draw or fade on a ball and you want to get a sense for how you should have the club positioned at impact to achieve that level of curve. Unlike last year, you do not have to hold the club in the awkward position all the way through the swing. As long as you have the remote twisted at impact, the effect will work. And it works beautifully.

I can't stress enough how monumentally awesome the draw/fade mechanics are, particularly since it plays into your regular swings as well. MotionPlus allows the game to much more accurately determine the angle of the remote as you swing through, so even on Standard difficulty (and I'm sure it's much more pronounced on Advanced), you will find yourself slightly hooking and slicing things if you aren't perfectly straight. This adds great realism and welcome strategy to your tee and approach shots, because you'll probably want to err on the side of caution when dealing with your aiming to account for the possibility of an inadvertent mis-hit.

Another huge improvement is partial strength shots. As with real golf, it's quite challenging to get exactly 50 or 75 percent on a shot, but at least it's much more consistent and accurate now. Twice I was able to finesse a shot quite nicely, where in the past it was such a crap shoot that I didn't even bother trying.

Of course, the biggest difference is with the new putting system. At first, it will be very difficult to get used to, because it's so much more realistic. There is no more multiple strength putting. Now, if you hit the ball as hard as you can, it will go as far as it can, and if you hit it softly, it will go more softly. Where this becomes a big issue is on shorter putts, like from 5-15 feet. Ordinarily you're used to hitting such shots at 100% power with a 5-20 foot "power" putter. Now, you have to take a lot off of it, like you would on a real golf course. It's really amazing how intuitive it is once you start forgetting all of the unrealistic bad habits that old games have ingrained in you. I can't imagine how satisfying putting will be on Advanced mode once I get more practice in.

Anyone who finds the ease of Tiger Woods games in the past off-putting are in for a welcome change this year. I can bet that the days of shooting in the 50's on Advanced mode are over. This game feels as close to real golf as I've ever seen without getting so frustrating that you'll want to quit (like real golf can be.) An absolutely marvelous achievement from what I've played so far. Do not hesitate in picking this up, and do yourself a favor and use Precision putting. It's so much better than last year it's not even funny."
