For Valve a PC developer the PS3 is not a commercially viable platform.
Whats the issue ?

I guess people cannot distinguish between "lazy" and high development costs
Source engine is even designed with X360 in mind. Valve likes to use special tech specs from a system. Although they're PC based developers, I can say Valve knows where they stand.
360 + Wii + Steam

Oh well it's a buisness decision just leave it at that.

Tell that to a small devoloper like Nippon Ichi or Gust.
The PS3 is THE home console they have chosen to devolop for. Almost exclusively.
I agree with snowblind, they are gods.
Once ps3 gets more sales and starts to look more profitable we can expect new developments from valve.
I would never have purchased L4D anyway

1. High development costs doesn't mean it's not worth making games for if they think the benifits outweigh the cost.
2. Valve saying the console is too complicated does not neccessarily mean it's true. It's their opinion.
If Valve doesn't want to put time and effort into PS3 development then thats fine. PS3 fans (like myself) need to support companies that will. Plus if they decide not make games on my favorite system its no big loss. I hope one day they can because their games are good.
