Valve doesn't port to the PS3, period. Much better than doing half-assed ports which will only piss off those who buy them.

 

I don't really care, but don't act like it's only ps3 fans who call developers lazy. In fact more developers have dropped the ball on the Wii than the PS3. Valve, on the other hand is a PC developers and the only reason they make games for the 360 is because the 360 is very close to the PC. And given the choice, I'll always choose their PC games anyway.

Now, if they release HALF LIFE 3 exclusive to 360, that would hurt. 

It will be xbox 360/pc exclusive when announced sometime after Eposide 3 is released.

insomniac has no choice. Sony owns the IP's they make and are most likely contracted by Sony. On top of the Insomniac never said anything as ignorant as Valve "Naw we don't want to develop for 360 because it wont be fun" in fact Insomniac said 360 is a possibility if they wanted to in the future. Unlike valve who just writes the Ps3 off because its too difficult for them

The J man cant understand why valve as a company is being labeled as "lazy"....

 

No matter what game valve breathes on , shits out or even looks at turns to gold. They are one of the few developers(if not the only developers) with every game having critical acclaim.They are far to busy too busy making quality games than to work on a system that was deliberatly made with harder development in mind. If you have an ounce of respect for the industry and werent blinded by fanboyism ,you would realize that the term "lazy" shows not only disrespect to a developer but to one of the best developers in gaming(And they are that for a reason).

The thing the J man really doesnt understand is why is it that a developer that doesnt make a game for the ps3 deemed "lazy"?

Valve is still basically a pc exclusive developer but they dont have to go out of their way to port it over to the 360 , thats why you see their titles on the system.

The way the J man sees it , valve and kojima are on the same boat. They both believed that their vision was enough for one console and didnt feel the need to bring it anywhere else. So with that being said if valve=lazy then kojima=lazy.



N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

Valve is not lazy, they are just loving their relationship with MS thus sending out shot at PS3. Epic did the same thing to the wii.
The truth is, the 360 is the best transition from PC to console, and the best PC developers will choose the 360. I don't mind it as long they are still supporting PC gaming.

@Squilliam...are you confirming that Mass Effect 2 is going to the PS3?

Bioware are still recovering lazy PC/360 developers. So you have to give them time for the LPC anon work to bear fruit. We don't want to push them too hard and risk a relapse.

100% agreed

If they did shun PC gaming I'd definitely be pissed off. Because even though I have a PC and a 360, Valve's games are much better on the PC with all the customization and available free maps.
