Forums - Sales - Disappointing Infamous PS3 sales for the 1st week

I was expecting higher number but good first week number non the less

Around the Network

I'm fairly new to this site.  I didn't realize I haven't posted or been active enough to raise questions.

I'm wondering what tv shows you usually watch or where you live since I have seen a lot of commercials for InFamous during the playoff.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Honestly, this is one game I wish was on the 360. It would be an immediate purchase but if it never gets there...

I guess I'll have to wait until I decide to purchase a PS3 to pick this up, which probably will not be into God of War III releases.

I'm not a fanboy, I just try to tip the balance in favor of logic and common sense.

This game will probably follow Uncharted's footsteps. Claimed as a failure due to the first few weeks of sales but massive legs will lead to it selling 1.5 million+

Quality over sales is what I say. I plan on buying inFamous in the future, but i'm having a few cash problems at this time. Don't worry Sucker Punch, i'll cough up $65 soon enough!

i hope so but wasnt uncharted bundled also?

I'm not martin luther king. I don't have a dream. I have a plan

Sell a man a fish you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish you just ruined a perfect business opportunity.

We didn't emerge out of the stone age because we ran out of stones. Its time to be proactive not reactive.

Yeah but it wasn't mandatory. It was offered as a pick-and-choose with several other games.

I think it did alright. Given what it is, I think it had an expected first week. The legs is the real question. Word of mouth will make or break this game.

Though I do wonder how many people claiming that it had fine first week sales were also around to talk about how any remotely "core" wii game bombed first week. The definition of "bomb" varies depending on system of choice.
