libellule said;==> Halo has many flow the some americans/review forget to mention :
- level where you have to perform and then go back to your initial point
+ level design similar to Halo1&2 : "hey I have already play to this game before !"
+ campaign too short (even with their obvious trick to improve the game lenght)
+ co-op too easy (no more enemy)
+ poor predicted scenari
= rushed no-innovative campaign

Huh?

BTW, the bottom line about Halo 3:

It's fun. That's all that really matters. Games should be fun, and it delivers on this in every way. That's absolutely true. If you like online multiplayer, then that fun will last indefinitely. I just hate the idea of the perfect score. There is no such thing as a perfect game.

Hey buddy we are all aloud our opinions. Me and you. No love lost? I agree. Fun is first.

It's nice to see smeone talking rather than slandering. Soz bout Fanboy comment ( bit harsh). But I hate when some people slander good games for no reason. (Not aimed at you).:)

Thanks, I'm not trying to slander the game. I had a blast playing it, and when I get a 360 (very soon actually thanks to a recent development, but that's another story) I will be buying it myself.  My vendetta isn't against Halo 3 it's against the score of a 10.  It's thrown around so easily these days that it just annoys the hell out of me.  I mean Play Magazine gave Lair a 10... the current review system of this industry is so broken and scores are so different between different supposedly "credible" review sources that it's pointless to even look at them anymore.  There are a couple reviews that I trust.  Gametrailers and IGN do a pretty good job of explaining their scores and breaking down the positives and negatives of games, but in general all I trust anymore are my own experiences with games.

Yep this ones got me to. Has he played Halo 3? Predictable scenario? He cant have played it?

It's quite different than the first 2. mainly because of the level design. and the added loads of enemy everywhere feeling. Nothing new, but advanced yes.

I am really happy to see they gave pgr4 a 9, I already prepaid for the whole thing and absolutely cannot wait till it comes out. There is probably about a 100 hour chunk of time missing from my life from the first pgr4, and I never really played single player in that game, the online was just so addicting I couldnt believe it. When I would play against people from Europe I would always fake an english or aussi accent, I dont know why, but it was a s-load of fun. Couldnt count the number of times I was lauging out loud to the point of not being able to race, just so much fun. Anyways though, pgr4 looks AMAZING. Right around the corner!!

And I don't know how posting fact is fanboyism.

My gamertag is Goldar. Send me the proof or post the screenshot of the theatre menu for each mission on legendary. Then it will be fact.

Goldar...as in...Rita's evil henchman and the power rangers incessant nemesis from the original series? Or is that just a coincidence?

I just lost what little respect I had left for Edge...

Hmm mysterious, they smack a Lair and a Metroid Prime Corruption very hard on the butt, but Halo 3 is praised like the lord on the 360.

Does make you wonder, doesn't it?

I never understood this line of thinking. Ranking a game out of 10 already doesn't have enough granularity. What's the point in having the 10 score if nothing can achieve it? you've just wasted a ranking. And now you can't tell the difference between a game that would have been 9 (ie, a fantastically fun game with just a few annoying flaws or glaring omissions) and 10 (a game so good you don't even  notice the flaws that it has)

No one is claiming that a game is perfect just because they gave it a 10/10. They're just saying that it's lots better than a game worth 9/10. If your scoring system is such that a 10/10 is impossible, then your scoring system is broken, you're wasting a whole score level.

Of course, if you were to say that 10/10s were too freely handed out, then yes I would agree with you. But to say that no game deserves a 10/10 is just ridiculous.

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

personnaly, I can put a 10/10 for bioshock considering all the innovation around the title like the gameplay or the story and even the gfx.

but for Halo3, there are too many flaw around the game.

- scenario quite simple
- allied controlled by computer that dont know how to drive vehicule
- too easy
- too short
- level design remember too much Halo1/2.
- level you have to do clear of enemies 2 time to improve the game lenght
- co-op (2 or 4) too easy since the campaign is similar to single player.
- overall, rushed campaign.
- gfx only average compared to gear of war/bioshock.

I m referring to the review comments, not my personnal experience.

Time to Work !
