... can you look the coolest playing with?

Trick question.  You will never look cool.

Well sonys wand is the only one you can bring to the night club and it'll look like it fits in.

Or atleast you could in the 80s.. And everyone likes the music of the 80s.

Fits right in.

Check out my game about moles ^

@ words of wisdom You are way too smart for your own good.

@ Staude That's from the 70's. Still hilarious though.

umh... well if you look at red steel 2, the guy in the ad doesn't look like a fool while using it... though it's an ad.

in reality, I think 1:1 motion will make you look cooler for stuff like tennis and golf. for the rest, it really depends on how the controls are done.

But in any case, you don't look cool with a big glowing ball in front of you..... Natal is really too uncertain, need to see how well it responds... but playing SFV on that will probably make you look uncool... I mean most people will do their high kicks 30cm off the ground instead of 1.6M... that or they'll trip :p

Well, let's see. Natal has you holding nothing, and judging by the presentation with the woman smacking balls, it doesn't have perfect reception. So I'd say the average person will look fairly ridiculous using it. The PS3 motion control won't look any more goofy than the Wiimote I imagine, but Sony needs to improve the design.

I guess when you are as bias as you, it blinds you so much that you failed to see that it did in fact have near perfect reception.

How the hell am I biased? I have a flippin' link to my gamertag in my signature. By the way, "near perfect" isn't perfect, now is it? Maybe if you weren't so biased, you wouldn't be blind and you'd be able to see that.

A link to "your" gamertag.

No good argument, I see. Well I guess it's easier to make accusations and say stupid things than actually have to come up with one. Since you're obviously just flamebaiting, I'm going to ignore your petty attitude. Please grow up, and have a good night.

Remember when you made that accusation? You know, the one about how natal "doesn't have perfect reception"? Don't throw rocks if you live in a glass house, Mr. Mod.

No Zen. She rushed to put her hand where the water was rippling on the top left part of the screen after it happened. She rushed to do it and it was pretty obvious.

I'm not saying that it doesn't work but it was a videotape during that section. I agree with you that it can be done easily, but for some reason it wasn't. Watch the video if you don't believe me.

I dunno, sounds like conspiracy theory to me. None of the closed door guys(who ripped on Milo) said anything about the motion parts being staged.

C'mon.  You know me well enough to know that I don't do conspiracy theories.

Watch the video.  One part is definitely off if you look for it.

I watched part of the video. Apart looking creepy, uncanny valley and mildly boring, it looked quite well done to me, and the issue you're writing about is possibly due to obvious spatial limits of the motion detection system: its field can't reach the monitor's surface, so the monitor's plane can be a projection of a physical plane at least at a minimum distance from it. Staying too slose to the screen, moreover, more and more distortion happens, the result of these two things combined is a non linear feedback when the user tries to touch the screen and the feedback showing interaction with things on the screen plane when the user reaches the minimum distance plane.

Sony will look the coolest if you turn of the lights and just have two glowing balls making nice patterns in the dark.

Apart from that I reckon that 'looking cool' and playing a game using motion control are near enough mutually exclusive.

I'd love to see a video of Borat or Bruno using this stuff though. Can you imagine?

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

And you agreed with me, although I guess you failed to read my message. I said it doesn't have perfect reception, and then you countered by saying it had near perfect reception. So yeah, you kind of agreed with me and affirmed my point.

I've got my own expression. Don't throw rocks with your enemy if you're supposed to be throwin them at him.

Watch a promotional video for Red Steel 2 (or indeed Red Steel)

Admitedly no one would actually play the game like the actors in those videos, but never-the-less they look pretty cool.

And as neither of the other controllers have as useful a pointing device as the IR camera in the Wii remote you won't see FPS using them.

Sony showed off a tech demo fps style. It certainly looked more like a fps then wiis "on rails" games.

I know it has fps too but the ps controller, being more accurate than the wii one(w motion plus) at measuring dept should certainly not have a disadvantage. Hopefully sony also ads a analogue to each wand so when you're holding a wand in each hand you'll be able to turn around and move without having to turn around lol..

you do know that the wii mote can sense depth right?

and having ir point is way more accurate then what sony can do

Ugh.  If there was one thing that could possibly make me want to curb-stomp that idiot more than I do right now, you just said it.

It's all about the game.
