Forums - Nintendo - Help me choose between the 2 Tennis games

Straight to the point. A friend of mine is willing to buy me 2 motionpluses and one of the tennis games within the week but I just don't know which we'll enjoy more over here. I'm currently leaning towards Grand Slam Tennis since we've heard a bit more of that and also because its exclusive to Wii but I want to know which you all think is the better choice. Reasons would be appreciated too

MOst media confirms Grand slam tennis is the best. But I can't see much more, Since I don't have any.

Thanks for that. My sentiments exactly but I just want to be sure. I'm thinking of stocking up on some multiplayer games for now since most of the games I want won't be out soon. What do you think of these:
Mario Strikers Charged and Dokapon Kingdom(Any more good ones for 2-4 players?)

I already have Mario Kart and Brawl and I want to wait for the next Mario Party before taking the plunge(that one will be great i'm sure)

I was going to start the very same thread. Since Grandslam tennis is bundled with Wii Motion Plus according to Amazon's pricing it will be £5 cheaper than getting Wii Motion Plus and Virtua Tennis. However, if Virtua Tennis is the better game then the extra £5 may be worth it.

John Mcenroe says you should shut up and buy Grand Slam Tennis

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

GST has online too

Well, Virtua Tennis supposedly has all the online features of the HD versions. But GST has Wimbledon and some classic players (if you care about that).

I believe Virtua Tennis has a bit of a different control scheme than GST, in that it's not actually 1:1, they just use MotionPlus to add accuracy to your shots (works great from what I read). But in GST you have to hold down a button if you want to lob or do a drop shot, while in VT you just .... do a lob or a drop shot.

Assuming you don't care about the art styles, I would honestly wait a little bit longer for some actual reviews before you decide.

# of games above 75 on Metacritic (including downloadable):

360: 241     DS: 144

PS3: 152     PSP: 126

Wii: 85

I'd go with VT since I boycott EA.
