interesting, but SSB already draws so heavily from the pokemon series I can't see it happening.

Yeah if SSB starts accepting non-video game characters then I'm officially done with the series. (Don't say "BUT HE HAS VIDEO GAMES" it does not count. He never originated as a video game character)

Put it this way you are never going to see a franchise specific SSB. Sakurai created Smash because he and Nintendo wanted to see all the Nintendo all-stars battle it out.

That link has already been broken with TMNT: Smash Up and yeah maybe Sakurai isn't directing it but members from the Smash team are helping to make it.
