There is no way that all my blatant sarcasm went right over your head.

Yeah, because books are totally the same as videogames. |
Reading is reading. Characters have a lot more charm when I'm voicing them in my head then when some stale, miscast voice acter is stuttering out the lines. Sorry if it taxes your brain so much to scan through a few lines of text. And who honestly listens to every single voiced-over line the whole way, instead of reading it, then skipping half the clip because you're already done reading?

Wow, getting defensive a bit? No need for the insults, even though it may seem mandatory on gaming forums.
Games have sound, books do not. Therefore I'd like voice acting in my games (if done well, of course). Opinions differ, deal with it.
I'm all for it. IF done correctly, and frankly, more often than not the voicework in videogames is quite horrific... So, I dunno, we'll see. Nintendo won't screw up the -arguably- best loved franchise ever. Oh, and yeah, Link must stay mute. :p

Exactly. Although i wouldnt say no to perfect voice acting either. who knows. there might just be some voices in the world better than our imaginations could come up with.
example of perfect voice acting: Disney
have you noticed? if you read the dialogue and the story, youll find them distasteful and boring. what saves them? REALLY good actors and voice actors.
as long as Link only sticks to his grunts i'll be happy. The last "voice acting" the series had was with Navi...and that didn't turn out to well.
I found Midna's nonsense voice work quite charming in Twilight Princess.

not sure why, but i dont think id find the same result if zelda were to pick that up.
i agree tho.
The only voice acting I would like to hear in a Zelda game would be gibberish like in Okami. But that's barely voice acting.
