Indeed. Usage here in the Netherlands is pretty moderate. The most heavy smokers I know smoke once a week. That ought to be less harmless then your usual smokers

For. If alcohol is legal, it makes absolutely no sense for marijuana to be illegal. Alcohol is far more dangerous and causes much more socially detrimental behavior. I am like HappySqurriel, I want SMART drug laws. If it is going to be illegal, there needs to be a good REASON.

The smell is awful and is pervasive. Someone can get drunk in one room but, unless they're practically swimming in alcohol, it won't spread to the rest of the house. The weed smell goes everywhere though and it gets into clothes, fabric, and more. Ugh.
DUIs concern me. I believe that there are more alcohol related car accidents because there are more places to consume alcohol outside the home. I also believe that there would be more weed/high related car accidents if there were more places to get high outside one's home.

If pot bothers you, then why not kick out or ridicule the person that's smoking it, rather than ban it?
Just because something's legal doesn't mean it's smart, good, positive, or beneficial. And as long as you are allowed freedom, you still have the freedom of saying 'Get the **** out of my house' to potheads, druggies, alcoholics, or smokers.
