It's funny how Sony fans flock to this thread trying to talk up GT. I can sense the fear.

One can only conclude that Forza 3 sure made an impression at E3.

And it was great that they chose to show real in-game footage instead of pre-rendered CGI. Very confident of Microsoft and Turn10. Respect!

IGN said the GT5 trailer was all real time.

Link? Journalists have been wrong before, being tricked by marketing people and their fuzzy statements. Because at least the part with that light blue rally car in the GT5 trailer was not real time.

"Gran Turismo 5
With close to 50 million units shipped, the Gran Turismo franchise is a big deal, even outside of gaming. The fifth full title has been in production for a long, long time now, so the fact that we finally got to see the game in action was a great thing. The fact that the amazing footage was all realtime made it even more talked about."

That may be. But clearly at times you can still see the polygons of the cars on GT5P. See here. left car half out of the picture. Back left tyre. Notice the rim? It's not round.

I dont believe them. The blue rally car is not in real time, that I am certain of.

It's perhaps possible that the footage of the cars on the Nascar track is in real time, but I doubt it. So I guess there's hope for you that it will beat Forza 3.

Believe or not it's up to you.

But clearly they are more creditable than an internet forum user.

Well, the speed-o-meter of the 1 million polygon forza 3 car is not round either.

Does everyone agree though that all graphics comparison of any game should be made with ingame footage? As in cockpit gameplay vs cockpit gameplay? That would make sense. That's what dissapointed me with Sony conference. Even Guardian game was no gameplay at all shown. This is important when talking about graphics. Because the entire GT5 trailer may not be taken from any replays. It may be using the game engine but actually fully scripted. Meaning it will hav loads of added effects in there. We are not even talking replay footage that is slightly enhanced over actual gameplay. When it's scripted trailers, they can really add a whole load of effects in, that will not be in replays of the final build.

I dont doubt you, but please provide a pic. But comparing outside of the vehicle against the interior is clearly clinging to the last rope piece.

just wait till Selnor and RPG look at this then the thread will be Interesting ;)

I had to laugh bro. You win. :)

I'm not gonna comment on this thread. People love both games. I got involved with the whole GT5P better than F3 graphics, because it was blatant. But GT5 will have it's lovers as will F3. Noone will ever win regarding what is the better game. All I think is F3 will gain on GT5 in sales over previous iterations.

If this:

really was all in game engine, then that is absolutely amazing. I mean, so many people think it's CGI (I think most of it is too) now, so what will happen if it is confirmed? People can't just go back and say that it's not that great, they just admitted that it looks so good, that they thought it's CGI.

It's CGI-Quality =P

(It looks so good when you download it 1080p on PS Store)
