In my opinion MS has really done something amazing here...

Eyepet does really look like something that will get boring very quickly but if MS pull milo off it will be spectacular

He registers your emotions, can reply properly to you and i mean MS is really going in the right direction with this

Honestly I think eye pet and eye toy speak to different types of people. Im an extremely social person so Milo really has no appeal at all... On the other hand I have two cats so why would I ever have the need to have a virtual one.

I really hope milo's vocab range is very very large and i hope he can register ALOT of emotions

Milo is BS.

Even the greatest scientific minds of the past 50 years working with supercomputers have been unable to pull off anything near to what Lionhead showed.

I refuse to believe that the game developers who couldn't even get decent dog AI into Fable II managed to pull this off on a freakin' game console.

Milo is almost certainly just like all the chat bots you can find on the internet, only utilizing voice recognition instead of text input. See A.L.I.C.E. for example - that's probably what Milo is like. The 'demo' we were shown was all obvoiusly scripted.

Ugh, Natal isn't being developed so as you can have a virtual friend ... as far as Milo goes, its going to be great in RPG,s, you'll have to interrogate people yourself and use your imagination to think of the questions you have to ask.

If it was then i am really disappointed in MS...They gave me hope for something amazing and for it to be scripted would make me lose alot of respect for them...

And i love the RPG idea
Hopefully in the next 10 years we have amazing technology to be able to immerge yourself in the RPG world....i would be sold

Soo good that I'm fearful that it is 'too good' to be true, I have high hopes but I'm skeptical on the success of both the Sony and MS motion tech until I've seen their application in actual games. That will be the real test.
