If that's true, there goes my 3 million prediction for the first week!

15 minutes is not enough time to get into a game. Even I said I would give Halo 3 more time before I made up my mind. Initial impressions are all I am sharing. Gears starts with a bang. Graphics are top notch and the action is intense. When that Beserker charges me, it's awesome. Halo might get better but I hear it's a short game hopefully it picks up the pace soon.

The Bestbuy by my work said they got in over 4000. No joke. And when I went in launch morning to pick it up they said there were over 2000 left.

Oh, I know that 15 minutes isn't enough to give a game a review, hence why my attention whoring self hasn't made a thread. But if Gears starts with a bang, then it went limp before the fun even began! Hopefully I get another chance to play it.

And the marketing Budget was 35 million according to a next-gen.biz estimate I read. However, it theorized that most partnerships will foot the Bill (Mountain Dew?)

I hate to break it to ya Legend11 but most of the "trolls" have left the website so you won't be seeing much panicking or FUD slinging. I think anyone not thrilled by this is wise enough to keep their distance from the matter.

hum first of... I finished GOW in an afternoon in hardcore mode solo... so not really long either...... and probably shorter than halo as I have played it for more than 4 hours in heroic and I'm not half way through.... and I'm sorry if you think GOW has more WOW graphic and animation you don' know anything about what you are talking about... sure it's a question of taste.... but GOW is definitely under halo technically in terms of graphic animation and physics.... no doubt about it.... you have way more depth in halo the animation of the characters are at least as good and most of the time better and you have tons of enemies on screen at the same time... with a good AI without talking about your allies.... all that at a good frame rate.... add to that the faster paced style of halo 3 the fact that you have more various element and textures than GOW, more destructible or moving objects (none in GOW the entire decor is in Titanium).... you can't objectively say GOW is better... you can say you prefer GOW though..... but not that it's better it's not true....
and btw I have more trouble dealing with two hunters in heroic than a berzeker in hardcore..... but the worst it's the pissed big daddy in Bioshock that thing stress me out like crazy lol :D
oh and I love all three GOW, Bioshock, Halo 3, I just wanted to open your eyes.... after that it's a question of taste... I prefer FPS than TPS so the choice is easy for me... and the story of halo is no comparison to GOW (if we can call that a story in GOW)..... I'll buy GOW anyway though lol :P

Pokemon doesn't need this kind of launch to still be the winner with the legs it has. Halo3 is a beast, no questioning that, but Pokemon is Pokemon, it's Nintendogs on speed.
