Forums - Gaming - Holiday 09 - PS3 vs. 360 games

Well I hate Left 4 Dead, and I'm not keen on Demon's soul so they cancel out.

For the other 3:

Uncharted 2 beats SC Conviction
MAG beats Halo ODST (256 player online vs. a spinoff)
Forza III and R&C are so different and you can't really compare them.

Uncharted 2 ties with SC Conviction since I don't know what to expect from either.  Both look amazing.

Mag loses to Halo because it is a flawed concept that won't work in reality except for a small niche community.  256 random players will not work together cooperatively as this game requires.  Halo is a proven formula that well over 10 million have played and enjoy, and nearly 10 million alone have bought Halo 3.  I say Halo ODST wins.

I agree you can't really compare the others, but I don't really want either one so

I am starting to think this is one of the few Holiday seasons where the multi-plat titles are better than the exclusives. Cause with all of the games that got pushed into 2010, the multiplats are going to have to fill some holes and big ones at that.

Hyams - you also forgot MLB: The Show '09. The definitive baseball simulator. I see you don't live in the US so you probablly don't care for the game but baseball isn't called "Americas favorite past time" for no reason.

Do you live in America?  Baseball is not "Americas favorite past time" anymore.  This belong to Football (NFL and College).

360 exclusives will sell ALOT more then the PS3 exclusives this Holiday season.  But quality of each exclusives is still up for debate.

On a side note if Sony doesn't do anything to help the PS3 like a price cut or a good bundle, I can see the 360 will have a 10 million + lead over the PS3 by the end of 2009.

Football is garbage. What a crap sport. What the hell is up with the roid ragers doing dancing like monkeys in the end zone?

uncharted 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> all 360 exclusives

I definitely agree.  Of multiplats I am getting AC2, MW2, probably Rockband, and a few more I'm sure.

Did you all miss the inclusion of "Firefight" in Halo ODST? This 4 player co-operative mode, is similar to horde mode from Gears 2. I don't know, I think that, with the beta for multiplayer reach included, is enough to push the sales of ODST up there.

As for the rest, my answers would be just as biased as PS3 Fananza's (though for the 360) so I'll keep them to myself. That being said, my wallet is getting a hurting this holiday season and I only own one of the HD consoles.

SingStar: Take That (Late 2009) http://www.videogamer.com/news/singstar_take_that_for_late_2009.html

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 features a whole lot more than "an extra character". Not only does it feature 3 brand new playable characters who will all be playable online along with Ryu in the brand new online co-op mode, the game also features new weapons, new enemies and large-scale bosses, new branching storylines, as well as an overhauled graphics engine and a new camera. It's in every sense a remake just as the original Sigma was and it's exclusive.
