Forums - Microsoft - Media going crazy over Project Natal

Long way to go and they needed something to combat Sony's motion controller and soon to be released Wii motion+, otherwise they would have looked like losers at E3.
I'm not sure it will do much if it's an add on for the current xbox360, they should wait and make it THE big feature of their next console.

This has been in the works for years ....

Natal is going to be massive. That Milo boy program alone is going to be huge with priests all over the world...

LOL that's so wrong

Wii killer.....mega lol.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

I get the feeling that this is carefully orchestrated PR from Microsoft...

They were hinting before the conference on something massive, then the day of the MS conference Edge Magazine had their piece on it, and Time had an article on it right away. This type of stuff just doesn't happen out of no where. Microsoft has carefully orchestrated maximum PR for this product.

The problem is that by the time it comes out, the buzz will be long gone. Especially with the short attention span of us americans. :)

Yes exactly. And this is what the biggest corporations can do so effectively. I call it something like 'surrogate advertising' where you use so called impartial sources: straight up legit news sources like magazines, news portals etc to start publishing articles hyping your products which are nothing short of commercial advertisements but masquerade as genuine news or technical insight.

This is what M$ does so well. Edge magazine publishing a piece on them praising Natal is such a giveaway.
