I dont know. To me presentation means a lot for a conference like this, and I don't think im a shallow gamer (whatever that is)

Like Sony looked like they didn't know what thye were doing. Jack Trenton was sweating like crazy, the motion control guys were nervous and shaking, KAz Harai was arrogant and looked like he didnt give a shit...

Nintendo I think had a more composed conference than Sony which was all over the place.

Sony had lots of content, but like I said they screwed up with presentation...For motion controls demo they did, the following analogy works best "if you stick your dick in a pudding, no one is really going to eat it...even if its the best pudding around."

while presentation is important, as you need to get your point across clearly and effectively, bringing in celebrities does nothing for me in terms of showing off how good a game is.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
In the past we played games. In the future we watch games. - Forest-Spirit

Also I don't see how sweating marks down a presentation. Hell I guess all live music shows suck because the musicians sweat... seriously marking down someone for not using anti perspirant agent on the forehead is pretty shallow. (Even if youd like to think your not)

Sure it does. I am watchign a conference for an hour and a half or more...I want to be entertained. Company can show the best games ever, but if the whole experience is boring...the whole "Lets look at this slide now" approach, I will most likely find the conference to be meh hence the games won't look as amazing as they should.

Sony showed some wicked stuff, but they really need to get CEO's and presenters that are good at public speaking.

Nintendo presentation was quite stiff as well. Its like they had que cards they were reading from.

Kudos to Microsoft for keeping Don Mattick away from the presentation until the last 30 mins. He is not the most personable person around...if you know what I mean.

Im sorry. I work in the advertising industry where I have to pitch to sites and copanies on a weekly basis. If I was sweating my ass off at the presentation, I'd look like a moron.

You need to look cool, composed and confident. Not under pressure (jack trenton), confused and scared (the sony motion control guys) and like a jackass (Kas Harai).

Sorry but a staff room is not the same as an auditorium.

It is not...televised auditorium is much more difficult and you need to be perfect as you're under a microscope

MS showed the girl spasming and the elephant presentation of NATAL

I don't know if people have noticed but on Gamespot they got a vote going for people to say who they think had the best E3 conference. Microsoft are 20% ahead of Sony with over 40% of the votes.
So looks like the media and from that poll at least people's opinion is Microsoft won by quite a bit, was not close etc.
But of course people on here won't accept that ;)

Hyruken that's the silliest way to determine who won E3
