It's looking increasingly likely that the conservatives will be in goverment after the next elections , my question is does anyone know how their policies will differ from the ones currently in force , I don't seem to see any clear difference between labour and the conservative party.

Also what are your thoughts about Browns ability to lead in light of the economic recession and expenses scandal .

In my opinion politicians are the most incompetent people and unfit for governing a country.

Expenses are the MPs own faults, not Brown's, they abused a system and thought it was fine. I don't bill my company for my food or rent so why should these people bill us for it? It makes it worse as there is a recession so more people have less money at the moment and those who we are meant to have trust in and help us through are doing dirty deads like any of the discredited bankers.

Brown's actions on the economy I think will pan out, UK markets are already recovering slightly, £ is getting stronger (although apparently this is bad for British exports...must have been proper crap before we had the recession yet more people had jobs... :? ). Problem is, it whether it needs him at the helm of it all.

His problem I think is he didn't take a stand to his Cabinate and their expenses. They have as much gilt as any MP yet they seems to just stay in powerful positions. He needed to fire 1 or 2 to show authority. He didn't, they quit and his power is now comprimised.

On Conservatives, they are conservative still somewhat left due to the way our government works, this means their policies are similar in nature to Labours. Some have even been taken by Labour later and made a reality. Although, I'm not much into parties policies. I vote Monster Raving Loony.

Hmm, pie.

I swear our political system confuses the crap out of me , why can't it be this party stands for this and the other party stands for that ( a clear constrast) instead we have pic n mix political parties which have no clear stance.

The medias gone into an anti-brown frenzy and with the resignation of 3 cabinet ministers now , Browns future is look pretty bad.

Jeremy Clarkson for PM

1. Were Fucked if the Torys win, believe me, they are allways, allways worse than Labour, read a book on contempary UK politics

2. main difference is economic policy, Labour will mantain public sector spending (NHS, Education), Conservatives will cut funding to both the NHS and Education systems, probably they will part privatise as well, both things are very bad news if youre poor or unemployed, which an increasing number of people are/will be.

3. ecenomically, Gordon Brown is about 1m* better than David Cameron imo

4. if you want real change, vote for The Lib Dems or the Green party.

Today Gordon brown claimed he calmly shuffled his cabinet. To me it seems they all deserted him saying along the lines of your not fit to be PM. And ive resigned now you resign.

urgh, the local election results were shit

although ironically, the Lib Dems are up 6% in the popular vote.

woah,, only 35.8% voter turnout, how are these results even vaild, thats shcokingly bad!

A popular party has had a disasterous few months. Im not suprised with the low turnout.
