I think the "maybe no sword?" thing was just a tease to get us to imagine exactly how different it is

A futuristic type era probably. Just becuase the era is different doesn't mean the mythos is being disowned.

Every Link has been a diffrent person except for OoT's and MM's Link they were the same...

Maybe the Master Sword is your ultimate goal. So Link doesn't get it until the end. In the mean time you use another melee weapon. I would hope for the ability to wield 2 small swords.

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...
its obvious that in some point in the game he will get a sword and bow, because he talked about how when playing resort and those two games be imagining zelda during those parts.

Isn't it obvious, you probably start the game without a sword, maybe even unarmed and have to find weapons

No. Almost every Zelda game starts with no sword.
