Final Fantasy Crystal Bearers??

warning, incoming bawl
what if you dont even play as link?
what if you play as his son or something?
Maybe this Link is a punk kid on the tough streets of urban Hyrule, where he beats up street gangs with a baseball bat.

What do I tell you people? When a game series starts to stagnant...you complain. When the series does something different...you complain.
maybe link will only use bow and arrows for a while, but there has to be a sword in the game somehow. i am more intrigued by reading "a completely different era", what kind of setting are we gonna get? there will be lots of speculations about this until we see zelda wii in action.

I don't mind them mixing up the gameplay. I mind them mixing up the mythos. I hate when a game jumps across to a completely different mythos (unless the original mythos sucked). It's one of Nintendo's biggest issues, they don't understand the value of mythos.
A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Yes they do.. Why do you think most Mario games, main series or otherwise, go for the save princess from doom premise?
