@Saviour, the PSP has better graphics then the Wii. Anyways dont forget PS3 slim + $100 price cut + GT5 + FFXIII. PS3 is going to rape the Wii in japan.

I'll have to admit that you do type up some funny shit sometimes, I gotta give you credit for that much.

You're forgetting that The Last Guardian could be and Gran Turismo 5 most likely will be released for PS3 in Japan this year to go along with FFXIII guaranteed. Also Tales for Vesperia will get normal sales for a Tales game in Japan on PS3 unlike the 360 version and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Bayonetta will both be big on the PS3 in Japan later this year as well.

Tales of Vesperia, Ninja Gaiden, new IP Batonetta?

Do you REALLY think those games have the same sales potential as a New Mario Wii Fit Dragon Quest and Monter Hunter? Ok...

There is no evidence that GT5 is releasing this year. Especially since Sony knows how huge GT is and most likely would have said so at E3. FFXIII is gonna be huge as always and push the shit out of hardware sales but that one title alone cannot compare to all combo Nintendo has. Im not trolling or hating I love PS3 but it Sony as of right now doesnt really have a chance.

@rafichamp
He said bundled 200k and lol at 5 million Japan only.

Also, as quiet as its kept, PS3 doesn't even have a million seller in Japan yet.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

The third-parties also have a bunch of wii titles coming which could easily match vesperia, bayonetta and sigma 2 in sales

games like The Crystal Bearers, Arc Rise Fantasia and Tales of Graces.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

Thats also very interesting to point out. I think it was that Taiko drum master game for Wii thats sneaking up MGS4 japan only sales.

ToG will match or exceede ToV, but ARF prolly MAXES at 40k first week. I do not have any predictions for bayonetta or sigma 2, but all in all, every single one of these titles together will not have the effect of the big names that are coming out second half.

LOL that was great. Big opps there.

Anyway. There was never a question as to who would "win" japan this year. A spike in sales for the PS3 was nice, but the spftware prospects for the Wii are way to Japan-friendly. Expect new records for Wii and possibly DS this holiday ;)
