GT series was most "respected" because for a very long time it was the only racing sim on consoles and that respect is only a PR bullshit cause right now i can put here a link to official forza site when audi just done the same thing bout Forza 3.

if you think PD are perfectionists you should look what Turn 10 and Audi engineers done in Forza 3 on it's official site - they are pretty much years ahead with the features they implemented in this game(like tire deformation that have influence on handling and driving in Forza 3).

 

i'm not saying GT5 will be bad - it's just the fact that PD are trying to put in their game everything they see with half-assed attempt.

lol ya the 60 skyline thing is funny. i remember gt2 having 92 four door civic that was hella slow. i prefer only performance ones.

I spent hours on GT4 and I only got like 10 Skylines and 4 Civics.
Do you have a guide or something so I can see how to get them?

All this means is that their code succesfully compiles. They could release GT now, but it would be lacking in features, full of bugs and with subpar graphics/framerate drops.

I'm not saying it won't release in 2009. I'm saying that even if it weren't going to, Yamayuchi could still say this without lying, and would say this to generate hype.

Also, dont flame me for using the words 'subpar graphics' in relation to GT. I clearly meant 'worse than the graphics would be given more time to tweak the game engine/level design/car models'

haha no what i meant was a 92'' as in year 1992 4 door civic that was basicaly a base model. it wasnt an SI or anything just your regular for door single cam 4 door civic. cuz you see hopfuly gt5 wont be throwing in every model made, just the performace ones. and forza 2 and now 3 still have less cars because most of the cars are performance.

Of course, in GT you can not change engine parts, suspension, etc...

My god, have you even played a GT game? You can customize your paint, suspension, engine, turbo, tires, handeling, weight, ride height, gear ratio, brake balance, etc... Pretty much every single thing you just mentioned, only with 800 cars instead of 400. All of this was available even in GT4.

No it is also not 800 cars with 150 being original and the other 650 being copies of the same exact car over and over again. It is called same model with different years. Don't even try to act like this isn't done in a game like Forza as well. It only seems like less because it has much less cars available. You think everyone only wants to use the 2009 model of a car? I know I don't. I know there are others who also prefer different years of various cars around the world.

There are also 22 Skylines in GT4, far from the exaggerated "more than 60" you just mentioned. Fail much?

The reason for 50 skylines is to have then buy the game to play with that particular freaking car they own.  I always play GT with the car i own, i only buy other when i need them to enter a specific class.  GT has historically sold to the import fan, Skyline and Evo are the beloved rids for them so having all the versions is a selling point.

GT5p F1 already proved better then any F1 game i ever played, Nascar games sucked thank god GT is adding it for once it wil be good.  While GTs rally has always been one of th ebetetr ones.  It just lacked damage.

Only thing half assed are the posts you make.

I only informed you on the minimum amount they could have achieved in order to make that statement without lying. I don't not in any way try to impose a maximum on the progress of the game. As I said, I'm not even saying it won't come out in 2009. Just that this is not confirmation that it infact will.

scottie but tht isn't true. The minimum they could possibly have is the 80 cars and 6 tracks from GT5P. And thats if they sat on their ass for almost 2 years.
