Forums - Sony - To existing PSP owners: Fear Not!

With onboard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the PSP Go downloads data, games, and connects to headsets wirelessly. Sony is emphasizing downloadable games for the device, a play to meet Nintendo's DSi Shop and Apple's monumentally successful App Store for the iPhone. Representatives indicated that there's a good will plan in the works to prevent alienation of existing PSP owners. Basically, if you already have a ton of PSP games, Sony will likely offer some sort of program so that you don't have to repurchase them.

This will shut the whiners up...THANK GAWD FOR THIS

This is awesome, PSP go 1st DAY!!!

^_^

Then I just might reconsider getting the GO when it drops in price. =)

I'm sorry, but as of right now, I see no reason to upgrade to a new PSP for almost $100 more than it cost me to buy the model I have now. I do like how the GO is smaller and I have no problem with download only games, but I don't want to spend that much extra for basically the same system.

This is good i guess...

Although PSP Go! still phails hard imo. with that price tag.

Can I just ask:
If you already own psp games...doesn't that technically stand to reason you should also own a psp? If that's the case, why is everyone getting their panties in a twist?

I figured Go was for folks who did not have psps?

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

its kinda like the ppl who buy rereleases of FF over and over for no reason.. think that

So...somewhere out there in the vast nothingness of space, there's a dude(tte) who owns a psp 1/2/3k and is now waiting to buy a go? huh...I guess that makes sense, but they still can't complain as their 1/2/3k can still play their old games.

Well, it's more convenient  to be able to play all your games on one system. I don't really want two PSP systems just to play PSP games. That's the issue there. If I buy the GO, it'll be for a more portable PSP and having to carry around my old one and the new one defeats the purpose. I'd imagine that would be the reason why something like this would happen.

I would like to remind everyone that the arrival of Go does not mean the end of 3k, both will still be supported. namely you will still be able to buy games for your 3k.
