well thank you for answering my question i was just curious considering they were interested in psp than ps3 this year i was thinking there division only had enough people for one system at a time

Sony really didn't have a megaton announcement, but they have many big announcements. Also I don't know if it was taken out of context during Square's "conference" or not, but Jack clearly states that the console you will only be able to play Final Fantasy XIV is the PlayStation 3. After saying that he states when the game is coming out, like he did for every other game.
