Id say it will cost about $100 at retail.

I'll probably agree that'll be the price also, $125 at the most IMO.

Microsoft make you pay $100 just for a Wi-Fi plug in. I expect $150.

PSEye x2: $30 each
Duct Tape: $5/roll
Total: $65

Yeah; I could see $70. That would give them a little bit of a profit margin.

duct tape for $5? where do you shop? i could buy one for 99 cents at 99 cent store

In more seriousness, if you consider the retail of the PSEye at $30, and figure that the two Natal cameras will probably be at about that level each, it's possible to start zeroing in on the upper bound for a  cost to build (Sony is, after all, unlikely to price the Eye as a loss leader). Add in a basic range finder and a decent mike, and you might be able to get something that could sell for $70.

The duct tape was a fudge factor and a reference to jokes about a certain other system.

Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.

I don't think the gamecube is two N64's duct taped together.
