Just for clarification, isn't all this tech done by independant parties?
If so, Sony might have intentionally not developing anything for it while the tech developed on it's own cutting all research costs completely.
Could this be possible?

It very well could be true, but why is the eye still failing after all these years?
Lack of support obviously.
It could be that these indie devs are MIT grads working on post grad stuff or similar kinds of people.
Sony probably had not seen any motion control as actually being successful. Assuming that what I said is true, it could mean that Sony is very close to releasing their motion, for a very cheap price (assuming they spent near nothing on the technology. Another benefit could be hiring those devs to work on more things)
Who knows. The PSEye is amazing though.

Yes it's topic for another thread but it'll fail just as bad if not worse, add-ons are bound to fail. The Eyetoy has sold over 10 million units worldwide, I don't see Natal doing that. I don't know what the PS Eye sold, maybe you were comparing it to that.

Yes it was. I also must agree with you on the rest of your post, it could have done much more if Sony had put more clout behind it.
10 million on a console with 150million. So 1 in 15. If that ratio held up for Ps3 then less than 2 million PS eyes in the market.
I agree. If these new technologies were to succeed it would need to be bundled from this holiday on out...

Project "N a t a l" sounds like a new "Anal T" buttplug project, so surely you're excited. But maybe Sony's pleasure wand may be able provide better the type of feedback you're looking for, so maybe keep an open mind with regard to practical usage or maybe better said keep an open *** to try both technologies.
