So, every thread I went into this weekend and early this week, somebody was banned. My question is, does this happen every E3?

My other question was, were you banned? What for? And what is your defense? Yes that is right,  I am giving you a chance to redeem yourselvs!

Ok, I will start with me! I got banned in an E3 related thread (it was my first time, at least they were gentle. lol).

Why? Flaming. Normally I do not flame, but this was different.

My defense. It was concerning Project NATAL, this guy was not reading what I had posted explaining how you would not need a controller for it, and how it could have huge potential, he just kept saying the same things I had already debunked earlier in the thread, and seemed insistant on calling it an eyetoy, which it cklearly is not...so I called him a fanboy and a noob. My bad.

Your turn!

This is VGChartz, we have the strictest mods on the net. People get banned everyday here.

Looking at your history, you've been banned 6 times this year alone. That's a ban a month. And your posting history has a lot of trolling, so frankly it's just your fault for getting banned and you want to pin it on the mods. I've never had trouble giving my opinion on this site. Never been warned, never been banned, even got to be a mod. If someone gets banned, it's often their own fault. Very few bans are because mods are strict. The vast majority are just bad members getting just bans.

I got banned because I insulted a mod's political beliefs. (Flaming)

I wasn't aware this was against the TOS, but have since re-read the rules, and yep, it's listed.

XD, so if you insult a members political beliefs, you won't get banned? It's good to see you have made a recovery though.

Well, I believe it's for insulting any poster's political beliefs.  This was a week ago, when a couple more conservative posters on this site posted about the recent Supreme court nomination, and it was still en vogue for people to declare Sonia's statements racist.  Since then of course, we've seen (most) people back away from such accusations (including Newt Gingrich).

My gripe is that you can essentially post Fox News-esque stories (typically false and meant to troll/flamebait) with relative impugnity here.  I guess I'll just have to avoid certain threads when I see them going forward.

Stop getting so excited about a Kid Icarus remake... the original NES Icarus sucked.

And i've been a member of many forums, and never got banned 6 times on any of them. I think its a problem when you can go into most popular threads and there are a few people banned. Hell i got banned once because i said the iPhone sucks.

Same here.

However I reocgnize that vgChartz is a place where two members can say the exact same thing but have it end with one getting banned and the other getting "lulz."

I would have to disagree with you here, Fox is the most objective NEWS source out there, yes you can go about bashing their openly conservative COMENTATORS, but then you are simply using opinion. There is no way you could get banned if you have fact to back up what you say. Why you had to bring your political opinion into this thread is beyond me.

Fox the most objective news source?  You're serious, right?  Hmm.  Let me guess.  You're from the south or midwest? lol

Hmm, nope, MN, and yes, as I said before, they are by far the mos objective NEWS source. meaning their NEWS is generally not skewed, they tell it like it is. Whereas other media outlets have COMMENTATORS giving you their opinion on what they call a news show. But enough of that, you want to discuss this farther? Start a new thread.

I'm laying low this week :)

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.
 — Pat Buchanan – A Republic, Not an Empire

This is my 3rd E3 here at VGChartz... I've never been banned but many other people have and it happens every year.
