Q1. Liberal Democrats
Q2. UK

My mom said something horrible about this election today, I think I am a bit ashamed. She said she is voting for UKIP. I asked her why, because UKIP are a extreme xenophobic party to say the least and she has never struck me as a supporter of UKIP. She said she was sick of immigrants coming to out country and she wants all non-English people out of England.

I was absolutely shocked.

i depise UKIP too, the worst result in the elections would be them or the BNP doing well imo, Lib Dems might do well, same with Greens, so thats good, ill be watching the results live on BBC News of course so ill probs post my reaction on here.

I'm convinced Nick clegg does not realise an election is happening. I've only seen one party political broadcast from him. But still the Lib Dems are the only party I like at the moment.

I don't know how to respond to that :/

The only good thing to be said for UKIP is that they are not the BNP

As for me, I'm a socialist so I struggle to find any party to support! However, I'll be voting Labour since there are SOME left wing people in the party still and I want to support the local party.

Oh - and I'm from the Uk if it wasn't obvious!

At least UKIP aren't racist, I suppose that's the only good thing about them. The BNP just want a genocide of non-whites, it's sick to think people vote for them.

I would like a more sociaslist party too, labour used to have a few socialists, but they are far to conservative now, even the Tories are more socialist.

Yes the BNP are a disgusting party. TBH I hope that lots of their would-be supporters vote for UKIP or VERITAS instead as it would be dreadful if the BNP won seats.

I agree that Labour have moved too far to the right, and are obsessed with privatisation, but why do you think the Tories are more socialist  than Labour? In what way?

I feel for you.  There is a little bit of this all kids have to grow through.  Parents being a bit older have tendencies that are quite shocking for us.  I mean I have an uncle who isn't really racist but uses racist terms for some things.

Really off putting.

It's better to not take it to heart so much and just realize that they grew up in different times, and really do try to be good people.
