Forums - Microsoft - Final Fantasy XIV NOT PS3 exclusive?

I think you guys really under estimate how big a FF online game is for SE, FFXI may not I repeat may not sell the most units, but I"m sure god damn bet my life on it that it make the most money for SE. They still have like 250k active users that paid for the game since day 1 relase and purchased 3-4 expansions. Now tell me which single player FF game can make that amount of money???

btw at its peek of FFXI there were like 800k active accounts. and not to mention some special in game item sell from SE.  IF you add it up that game make more revenue and profit than any other FF game.

It's on PC but it's exclusive because the PC meme only apply to 360 titles. If 360 games are out on both PC and 360 then it's not exclusive but if PS3 games are available on PC and PSP it's still consider exclusives. Didn't you get the memo when you join this forum?

LOL...dude it's the other way around.

awesome. i wont have to buy a ps3.

Nope, not in this part of the internet.  360/PC release is not exclusive.  PS3 / PC is considered PS3 exclusive, haven't you read all the threads?

That is because anyone with half a brain would choose to play an MMO on a Cell Powered super gaming machine than a PC with its confusing keyboard and hard to control mouse. QWERTY? Thats not the alphabet I grew up with.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Dvorak FTW man.

@heruaman

You have a Live gold membership right? Probably because you play games competitively online. So you are telling me that if you bought FFXI(or FFXIV in the future) that you somehow wouldn't be paying for both Live AND the game?

People who have the silver membership don't want to play with others online, so why would they buy an MMO? A game that would have a much more severe monthly fee. Games such as these would appeal to a Gold subscriber the most, they like the interaction between players online.

Yes, I might have been wrong about NEEDING a Gold subscription, but that doesn't change the fact that majority of 360 owners who play online would have to pay for Gold and the Sub anyway.

That is the point.
