Funny thing is that I don't have an Xbox 360 at the moment, I lent my console long term to a friend and my other Xbox 360 died. I actually prefer Google to any other search engine because its better and easier to use. I have this anti-Yahoo sentiment from when I first started using the internet, I don't know why but their homepage really annoyed me for some reason and I've held a grudge against them for over 10 years.

Im glad you like the PC.

Btw: I've decided I was too much of a fanboy and im trying to mend my ways! Its too much cognitive dissonance thinking one way and acting another for the fun of it. If you saw my posts recently you'd have seen that I actually said that Sony won E3 in spite of my love of Natal.

There is nothing wrong with being a fanboy, just realize you are one and no one cares.

Bing seems cool, and if you love it because you like it and all things Microsoft, no one is going to hate you for it.

Bashing another search engine for what seems to be no other reason then it's not Microsoft's will raise some eyebrows however :)

I still like Google more than Bing as a search engine. I usually automatically type in Google, like when I was looking up the economic definitions just before. I don't like Bing as a search engine nearly as much, but as an alternative to Google and since I dislike Yahoo its currently my only option for a fully featured search engine. Im not actually bashing Googles search engine, its more their business practices in relation to freedom of speech in China which I dislike. The fact that Bing is banned there is a bonus for me.

What is Googles business practice in relation to freedom os speech in China? I have not heard anything (I guess I could google it lol).

"Many many folks who work for Google are horrified that Google agreed to make a censored version of its search engine.  This act is in direct opposition to a fundamental value of the company, which is to make the fruits of the web widely available to people.  From the beginning, Google aimed to be the most open and the most independent of search engines, relying on Page Rank and other objective, machine-generated rules for bringing the best, most relevant content forward.  Google employees that I know believe in the social as well as the business mission of the firm."

Thats my search string, just for laughs!

So you would prefer that they don't comply, and China just blocked them? Where the win in that?

Man, this thread became a bash fest! Well, I've been using Bling and I'm satisfied. It basically gave me as good results as Google. I'll keep using Gmail for sure, but Bling is now my default page!

What are you looking at, nerd?

Complying with coercion is the easy way out. Would you like to know that most people if told by someone in authority would press the button which would kill you? The psychology experiments are terrifying. People are the same everywhere, so something like Nazi Germany could infact happen anywhere. This is why im libertarian in nature, I hate authoritarianism.

Tease.

Nice Freudian slip.

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!

I tried a few "academic" queries... It failed where Google worked well.

Fuck it, I like it.

I will still use Yahoo out of habit though.

Yeah, now that I looked more closely...it's bad.

If you google "32m to feet" it converts it automatically, in Bing it doesn't even recognize it. Same with currency, I use Google all the time to convert argentine pesos to dollars (or from any currency to others), I only have to type "xxx ars to dollars", Bing doesn't recognize it either
