Tretton was funny and loose as soon as the show started, he even made fun of their ability to keep info from leaking, but it had to be more for you. Give crdit sometimes, i know it's hard. People reacted more to Sony people they liked what they saw, just like the big reaction to MGS and Metroid.
MS was all about their games and it so serious, NIntendo was just bland and boring.

I was like WTF??? When they announced Golden Sun DS and some other great games. No reactions.
Then I saw the Sony conference.... every little thing got applauded and stuff. Probably the same audience. Everything was explained right there.

The best laugh at the Sony conference was when people were laughing at the inability of the presenters for the Sony Motion Wand to demo it properly. Overall, all 3 presentations were on par with each other. They were all bland presenter-wise, but showed good material. Corporate people are boring and their jokes are all lame, and just need to focus on selling the game to the market.

Though I have to admit, that you might be right...
But if it comes to Zelda, many people (including me 
) seem to turn off their brain...they want to see it (especially if it is known that there is a Zelda Wii in development), no matter if it makes sense or not. Zelda turns everyone back to 12 year old fanboys...

laughing with or at Sony was still more laughter than that quiet presentation of Nintendo.

I think it was the acoustics of whichever conference hall Nintendo used. 360 was just as quiet but they had some numpty clapping himself so made it a little louder.
Clapping your own announcements is so lame.

nintendo's conference was investors, executives and hte really big media only! ask the vgchart team. i bet they wer ein the Nokia theatre watching it on a screen not Club Nokia where the presentation was held
