I listened to it - They seem impressed - I suppose it had much more substance than Microsofts Project Natal

Natal shows promise but I'm not sure the tech is there yet plus Sony's motion is much more the type of thing I'd use as it is a physical controller

???!!

More substance ? Explain ?

Microsoft although more Impressive, featured a lot of what it could potentially do whereas Sony showed the infinite possibilties. Plus Sony gave a rough release date.

Sony showed more of what it can do. Although I admit Micrsofts is more impressive than Sony's. Microsoft really should have waited to put it into their next console and have some killer apps to show off with it.

I believe Sonys has a higher chance of success and games could be produced for both Wii and PS3 as both motion controllers have similair functions.

Well.. I'm not saying that Natal looks better or shows more potential or whatever... but what I have seen from Sony...

It really gave me the feeling that it was more of a quick response to the positionning of the other brands into motion sensor solutions.

IMO, it is so unfinished that it opens the doors to ... practically whatever people imagine it could be .. and that Sony has no real idea on where to go...

I see your point but for me from what I saw at the conference I can see myself using it - I don't think I'd ever really use Natal as I don't want a game where I'm having to move about constantly - Sonys has a physical object and until Natal is proberly available I'm not sure that technology is quite there yet, I can see there are going to be potentially a lot of issue where it doesn't register certain movements or certain voice patterns such as some voice enabled games currently do - If microsoft don't suffer any of those problems then hats off to Microsoft but I'm pretty sure modern technology just hasn;t reach that step yet. I've always been reading around the internet about the Milo video, very impressive but I don't believe that was all real and not scripted.

Is that a good thing? lol

The Milo demo, was being demonstrated to a closed audience at E3, so although the milo thing has more potential than the video they showed, what was shown in the video is real, right now tech. Not just potential. It's hard for time constraints reasons, to efficiently show it at the main floor during their conference.

Also, people don't realize, sony's tech is more the camera than the controller, microsoft could just add something even simpler, smaller etc, with even more precision because their camera sensing tech is superior to say the least.

I believe however that it can be just as precise without a controller period.
Sony announcing a release date means squat. They announce release dates for everything and miss those dates alot. I think they announced a date to try to remain at an even keel with what Microsoft showed off. It actually worked for some people.

Sony is not to be trusted with their cool tech promises, the eyetoy and pseye were announced and subsequently released ages ago and the best they have to show for it is another tech demo with the pseye......real trustworthy sony. Home, same thing, eas pushed back endlessly and in the end it was still rough and rushed, and boring, and all FAIL. Sixaxis, wasn't the tech demo for the sixaxis tech pretty cool?? has any of that happened?? no

You wouldn't use NATAL? You wouldn't want to navigate through the interface/dashboard with your hand? Play movies and ames with your voice? Turn it off the same way. Turn on your console by simply stepping into view of the camera and it recognizing your face?

I won't believe Milo is real until I actually see it - There been stuff about everywhere on the internet and several people have said that its not even technologically possilbe at this time - The stuff Milo says does not follow a logical speech pattern. Its the same way a computer can;t come up with a random number - it just can't.

Only the face recognition and voice recognition is the only thing amazing about it - Why move a menu with your hand? Apart from looking like an idiot I don't see how that revolutionary - It certainly doesn't justify the rumoured $200 pricetag - I can only see it being useful for saying 'Play Fast and Furious' and then the movie starts.

After really sitting down and looking at both of HD consoles approches, it is quite obvious that Sony's is the furthest ahead.

Baslically all microsoft has done was re-create the PS3's EYE, and dump tons of software behind it. There is no reason that Sony could not program voice recognition, or facial recognition into the PS3 for use with the PSEYE. Also going even as far back as Eye Toy Play Sony was able to do much of what MS showed as far as gameplay. Sure it was to a lesser extent back then, but we have yet to see them do anything as in depth with the new PSEYE, and it is no secret that the new EYE is much more accurate than the ET. We are talking a differance of 2D motion tracking at 30FPS on the ET, compared to 3D motion tracking at 120FPS on the PSEYE. That 120FPS is the reason that 1 to 1 worked so well in the demo on stage.

In the end though it will come down to the support. If Sony supports this tech as non existantly as they have the EYE allown, then it will be very easy for MS to make Natal a much better product. I am sure MS is going to use the OS enhancment features shown, because they have been in the field of doing just that kind of tech for years now. That is an area were Sony would have a lot of work to do to catch up. As far as games go. Sony has the devs to make the best motion con troller experiances on the market. The only thing holding them back is support.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Why'd you bring (the far superior) Natal in this thread? It only proves how much of a threat it is to some people. LOL

Natal was far superior?? When did I miss that memo. Natal was extremely gay in my opinion, and its not like they were showing live tech demos of it like Sony was. If you watch the beginning of the E3 video it says "Product Vision: Actual Features and functionality may vary." Mark my words, Natal won't work well and won't be out anytime soon. Only feeble minds like you fall for the Microsoft garbage!

Oh because PS3 gimmicks will be released earlier according to you ?

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.
