I just checked out the review section of IGN - my favorite review site for games. Doing this, I realized that there is exactly 3 non VC games that have received a score of 9.0 or higher. These are: Zelda, Metroid and Resident Evil. Quite underwhelming, if you consider the Wii has been out for almost one year.

Now my question is: what games besides SSBB and Mario, if any do you expect to score a 9.0 or higher on IGN? Please only consider games to be released this calendar year.

Probably only Brawl and Galaxy. They way these review sites are set-up typically only either established franchises, or extremely overhyped new ones get 9's.

It's one of the reasons I rarely use the scores to make any kind of judgement, there's lots of 9 and up rated games I found terribly disappointing.

Reviews are a matter of opinion. You can hate a 10 game or love a 1 game.

So the ps2 only has 4. And one of them is Motorstorm which was only given a 9.0 by the UK site not the US site. Secondly Ninja Giaden Sigma was a remake, and Oblivion was already out on the 360. So if you cut out games for other systems and remakes, and just count original titles on the US site, you'll have one each Ironically: Metroid PRime vs. Resistance.

But as mentioned reviews are subjective, I loved Metroid, and Zelda, but some of my favorite games are 7s and 8s on most review sites. Two of my favorite games in the past year have been, Bully(ps2) and Godfather(Wii) neither one broke a 9 on IGN.

Mario Galaxy - Excellent chance.
Smash Brothers - Excellent chance.

Fire Emblem - I wish, but it won't. ;_;
Battallion Wars 2 - A small chance, but still very unlikely.
Soul Calibur Legends - Most likely an 8 at best. (still hoping it turns out great)
Nights - Same as SCL.

it doesn't matter. ur thoughts r all that count ... unless ign is buying the game 4 u.

Valid point all you guys are making. Experience shows me though that I usually enjoy games rated 9 or above by IGN more than the ones rated below 8. 

Does the PS3/360/Wii have any games that have received 1.0s from several game review sites?
