I was never in the mob. There are rules in place where someone can only be the One once per season and you can only be in the Mob once per week. It might be One once a week and Mob once a night.

It's a quiz show. The questions are all multiple choice, sort of Who Wants to be a Millionare? stuff. Basically, The One goes up against 100 people in The Mob. Every time a question is asked, everyone who answers it wrong is eliminated. So if the One gets a question wrong, it's game over for him and the people left in the Mob split his prize between them. But if the One outlasts everybody in the Mob, he gets the top prize of 10,000 Microsoft Points... plus my friend says there's some sort of bonus round, but I've actually never seen the TV show myself.

Of course, the One also gets the chance to take his money and run at various points along the way, so he doesn't have to actually beat the entire Mob to win something.

The beta was a hell of a lot of fun. Looking forward to more this Saturday!

I have looked around and can't find much info on how often you can be picked for the mob or the one. If anyone can point me in that direction it would be appreciated.

Once a night for the mob seems fair to me, but once a week doesn't seem like enough. I can understand only letting you be the one once a season, that makes since.

The announcer said there was no prizes for the beta.  So I am fairly certain that no one won anything.  Could you imagine winning 10k MS points?  Jeez I would have everything!  The wife would have a hell of a lot of tracks for Rock Band that is a certainty.

Once a week sounds more then fair.  How many games are they going to have during the week where you can win something?  How many potential people will want to be in the mob?  There are going to be a ton of people that never even get a chance to be in the Mob let alone the "ONE".

Two games a week. One on Friday, one on Saturday.

Once a night would keep more people interested and coming back.  If they only give you one chance a week and your picked the first night who would want to come back?  At first people would come back no matter but once the newness wears off, I would say a lot of people wouldn't.

I played the whole time, and never made it into the mob (or the one, for the matter). I think becoming 'The one' has to do with having a high score on a prior game, but who the hell knows. Did the host keep cutting out for everyone else too?

I also noticed the "commericials go here" screen... (The one where it would "wait" at)..

Everything went very smooth for me the entire night.  And out of the party of players I was playing with only one left.  I don't know if he just decided to turn in or if he was kicked.   No hangups or anything, I did notice a couple of adds for sprint and a few other items but I forgot what they were.   I don't mind an add every now and then as long as it helps get us better prizes.  It  would be nice winning free cell service for life or something like that ( which an advertiser could do).
