Now that Sony and Microsoft have both announced motion controllers, aren't they just proving Nintendo's strategy was right? Except Nintendo got there 3-4 years earlier?

yep
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
Its seems so. Just want to mention that Sony seems to be ripping off nitnendo more so than Microsoft...
Goes without saying. But Microsoft look like they're taking things a bit further.
Sony... not so much, from what I've seen so far... I could still be convinced, though

Yes, but Microsoft's isn't 1:1 and has a vague 2010 release date. And I've seen reports of a $200 price tag; is that right?
To me they just proved that in business you have to accept what people seem to like. I dont think its right, but people want it. Semantics really, but still.

Lol, Sony fail ? They got it so much better than Microsoft by basically copying Nintendo 100%.

Of course its 1:1...there is no controller but the motions are tracked 1:1.
Dunno about release date or price.
