Konami Announce Zephyr For Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360

Konami announced today that Zephyr: Rise of the Elementals is currently in development for Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Sinister forces have deceived you to believe that your destructive behaviour will save an epic hero. In reality, you're working for evil. Take control of a dynamic tornado as you tear through open environments. The more you destroy, the bigger you grow as you work against time based collection and point challenges. Zephyr provides expansive sandbox type gameplay and real time destruction allowing gamers to destroy what they want, when they want, where they want!

Zephyr delivers humour filled missions and varying objectives. Diverse action packed gameplay provides both casual and hardcore gamers the ability to tear through towns in beautifully stylized action! Double the destructive power by playing co-operative multiplayer where two players drive through environments picking up and tossing everything standing in their way. The items in a player's path range from the usual rusted tractors and rustic farms, to the strange and unexpected as you tear your way through increasingly complex and crowded areas around the world. Through large open worlds, users can take control of how objects are damaged and destroyed with the active destruction game mechanic.

Zephyr: Rise of the Elementals is being developed by Loose Cannon Studios and will be released in North America this Autumn. For more information, please visit konami.com/zephyr.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

What i wanna hear from Konami is the new Castlevania.
