Couldn't Sony have asked EA to let them announce it on the PS3? Without MS showing it during their conference it could still be a Sony Surprise?

But it doesn't make business sense also. They pretty much guarantee 1 million more sales on the PS3 if they release.

Does MS have some sort of exclusivity contract on the IP/Franchise? Did they moneyhat EA?

Oh well...I guess I just started hoping for a Mass Effect 2 multiplatform after MetalGear went 360, otherwise this was always going to be 360 exclusive.

ME isnt a big ip to warrent a "special surprise". If it was coming on ps3 it would have been said in the EA conference because it is their game.

Ya this seems to be the most likely explanation. Too bad Sony couldn't do the same with FF and now MetalGear. It just goes to show who has more money/influence.

Anyway, I am going to buy Infamous today and hope for a great show tomorrow. Hope they show some Versus tomorrow, at least.

I'm pretty sure for MS to the game as an exclusive, they need to pay a boat laod of money to EA. I'm sure it all makes perfect business sense when everything is put into place.

Well it's exclsuive to Microsoft since it would have to be played through windows on the PC. Even more important, it excludes Sony from being a platform that can play it.
