So this is what I've come up with...and I'm sure others have as well.
Sony does what it can to make MGS4 exclusive, (via moneyhatting or kidnapping members Kojima's family) but knows that all further games will be MP after. Their reasoning is that MGS has a diehard fanbase that would buy a PS3 to play the game. This way they ensure that the "core" of the base is committed to the PS3. For all further Metal Gear releases, there likely will not be a lot of hardware purchasing, since you would think the majority of the Kojimaites already have done so.
So now when a Metal Gear game releases, the PS3 version will still garner much more of the sales then its 360 counterpart. The 360 version's sales will most likely come from the "other fans" who always wanted to try an MGS game, but didn't want to fork out the dough for a new console just to play it.
So in conclusion Sony doesn't lose much, Microsoft gains a bit, but the biggest winners are the gamers who only have a 360.
and isn't that the way it should be?
agree/disagree?
But now the real question, why did Raiden's eyes change color?
EDIT: DAMN, I screwed up, this should be under the "gaming" forum.
*this is under the assumption MGS:Rising will be multiplatform*
