Anyone else think it's funny how the Wii fans are saying that the 360's motion control is a 'novelty' and a 'gimmick,' whilst hastily shout down anyone who makes the same accusation against their console?

I don't think it's nearly as funny as you seem to think.

The Wii Remote allows you to play any kind of game, with some added elements that developers can choose whether or not to implement. On top of that it has spawned a few new genres. I see this Natal thing able to do the latter (maybe), but it certainly won't do the former.

Can you possibly say how a FPS (not on-rails), TPS, RPG or action game would work with this? Even racing games look likely to be dumbed down under this system, not to mention it probably makes the "tired arms" syndrome of some badly designed Wii games even worse.

So many PS3 fanboys in this thread. Oh well, it is to be expected when an innovative product is made by a competing console. I just wish they could accept this instead of trying to downplay it's potential

i talked with a few of my friends who are 360 fanboys. they have no intention of buying that thing. and frankly, i cant blame em. this may be innovative but nobody can see it on a console like the xbox, how do you expect to play an fps or a tps.

You not owning a 360 instantly sets off alarms that your making stuff up.

lol, yeah your right. i should have known you could read my mind and know exactly who i am and who my friends are. oh and me not owning a 360 totally means my friends dont exist right? sorry i must have been mistaken.

Well you don't own a 360 and could probably care less about it and your in a microsoft discussion thread saying nobody cares about it.  The chances of you not trolling are at 3%.

The more ps3 fanboys think its mediocre/bad the better it actually is. just my 2 cents.

Ok I will say it, I have no attention of buying this or anything based on this from what I saw at this E3. There now you have proof.

That's fine you saying it.  You have a 360.

oh just wait until tomorrow nojustno, Sony will prolly have their own tech, it's gonna be funfunfun ahahahaha

It's really funny to read those anti Natal comments. First WiiPS complain about that there isn't any innovation in XBox camp and all there is FPS and TPS games. After MS shows something innovative, then they start complaining that "nobody won't buy it, because it's not FPS/TPS related", "it's too expensive" (how in hell you would know that? Are you workin in MS game studios?), "it's Eyetoy ripoff". I own MS version of Eyetoy. It's about waving your hands like an idiot and taking videos where you act like an idiot. Fun if you are drunk as a pig, but nothing more.

Natal on another hands could be totally new way to control games. Motion control is a bit similar as in Wii, but there is very mutch more in it, if they can create similar interaction between player and game A.I. as they showed with Milo.

i must be mistaken, i dont recall saying i could care less Ms and the 360, nor do i remember saying nobody cares. im just wondering why not owning  a 360 means that i, or anybody by the sound of what your saying, can have an opinion. or friends that dont go to this sight. its also funny how im apparently trolling since i dont agree wiht you.

I have a Wii and I hate the Wiimote for hardcore games... (I have a shaky hand making it annoying and spastic)...

I am sure Sony will enter the motion fray tomorrow with some Wiimote knock-off and Sony fanboys will think its the greatest thing since sixaxxis or eyetoy...

MS is going in a different direction to change the types of gaming you do with motion.

It was interesting... But being more a traditional gamer, I am not sure how it will appeal. I will wait and see the games... Tons of potential, we need to see how it will be applied in real commercial stuff...

Welcome to the dark side...Mwahahahaha!

On a more serious note, given that this won't be ready until at least 2010, there is a lot of time to see if this is going to be good or not. We at least need to know pricing, games, and how those games will actually control.

Its pretty obvious that Natal is for the casual gamers, theres no way U can play traditional games with that!

But it is a pretty impressive tech...

But that Milo demo is NOT COOL! I see i-Robot written all over it
