well, the tech in the camera is a little better, but otherwise, yeah.

Hmmm...3D mean anything to you? This little bugger has two lenses, it "sees" you in 3D, it also has a microphone for the voice regonition. And you pretty much proved my point that it is better by your above statement.

HAHAHAHAHA

It's so accurate!

LOL cute, tho Ubisoft's motion cam just pretty much made Natal an accessory for current xb360 owners. Def wont slow down Wii sales anytime soon, if ever.

I've never said the tech is bad lol, one thing I don't understand is why people are making a big deal out of this thing having a mic, come on now, is having a mic and 2 cameras really that impressive to you? I've said time and again that this is not impressive to me and it's up to the devs and I don't see good outcomes for a long time if ever, I'm skipping this device for sure and I'll wait for the next supposed big MS thing. remember that Milo is software driven, it's not really the hardware that's impressive, it's Lionhead.

You do realize that its not a true form of what 3D space is, as for it to have a true depth, it would need a lens above/below you, right? The way that it functions in position to itself is more of a spatial distance from the camera, not a true depth of yourself in 3D. It's cool, still, but we don't know exactly what the Ubi-Cam can and cant do yet. We will need specs to see how the two compare.

absolutely.  Funny how motion controllers sucked until 360 copied it.  Now it's "OMFG!!!"  By the time it's actually released, everyone will be like "been there, done that".   Natal will die a quick yet painful death.

So, I just got finished watching the Natal video on XBox Live and my initial thought was ...

Microsoft's new and original way to play videogames is an updated version of the eyetoy? For years I have thought that there is promise in similar technologies, but in every instance of its use (to date) I have more often than not been reminded of early experiments with voice recognition at the consumer level; you spent an hour saying different phrases in order to "teach" the system how to interpret your voice, and you finally get to using it and simple (common) words like "There" are switched with "The Air" and you spent more time correcting its mistakes than it would take to type something out.

Wow, I can't believe how some of you guys are against this thing. No, it doesn't have any demos, or much of anything at this moment in time. However it has huge potential. If your not smart enough to understand that your either ignorant or a fanboy.

This thing could be a bomb, but it also could be the best thing to come out in decades, only time will tell. And this is coming from someone who so far has a strong dislike for motion controls. This has the potential to be far more than just a simple motion controller! And I am waiting in anticipation for more info.

It's the basically the eyetoy.  Nothing advanced about it.  If the Natal cost a lot then it will not get casual gamers to buy.  They would buy a Wii cause its that samething and cheaper.  Good luck to the Natal though

Another Sony fanboy speaks. if he had read my earlier posts he would see that I already threw this argument in the trash can with the whole "does it have full body motion control? Does it have Facial and voice regognition? Can it utilize these features in a game?" thing. Try reading all the posts before you put trash like this up on the thread noob.

I just stated what I feel about the Natal and I don't have to read your other posts.  I am reporting you becasue I didn't call you any names like you call me.  I didn't say anything that is trash.

where am I doubting this? I've supported camera or other motion capture based gameplay for a long time...

and here is a very old video montage. http://www.videogamer.com/videos/playstation_eye_game_montage.html

exactly the mic is the least impressive for this nifty improvement on old tech. The PSEye does have 4 mics built in after all.

This is just an evolutionary step. I wonder how next gen will be. Hopefully it will start off with mo-cap gameplay as standard.
