Microsoft's new and original way to play videogames is an updated version of the eyetoy? For years I have thought that there is promise in similar technologies, but in every instance of its use (to date) I have more often than not been reminded of early experiments with voice recognition at the consumer level; you spent an hour saying different phrases in order to "teach" the system how to interpret your voice, and you finally get to using it and simple (common) words like "There" are switched with "The Air" and you spent more time correcting its mistakes than it would take to type something out.
