Forums - Microsoft - Forza 3 Looks Simply Amazing

I thought it looked quite good, the presentation was a bit arcadey to be honest, but that's just how they choose to market it. In-car cockpit view is very welcome.

Still the claims that this will destroy GT5 are ridiculous. Graphically, if you can't see these models, as good as they are, aren't on par with those of GT5Prologue, you may have become a fanboy. Also, does anyone know how many cars are they gonna put on screen at once?

From what I heard, 8 at once.

GT5P does 16.

I think GRID has 12.

another delay?

i mean come on if i was sony i would told PD to get to work after seeing Forza 3 gameplay videos. if GT5p was demo of GT5 then we pretty much know almost everything about this game aside from tracks and cars. Prologue couldn't match even Forza 2 in gameplay, physics and mechanics so how can full game match even better game now? either they will show game that will impressive graphically but not much after Forza 2 trailers and with really inferior gameplay or they will delay the game for another 2-3 years when we will see probably another Forza game.

Hi

I would really love to hear more about how is the physics better?
It would be nice if you have any real life racing experience to support your claim.

How are you comparing them to real life?

As long as GT5 is not a bumper car ride that GT5P is then I am all good.  I am sorry for a team to be able to put out 2 games in the span of time that the other team with seemingly unlimited budget and can achieve this much is pretty impressive.  If Turn10 have the same unlimited budget and resource as PD, I wonder what they could do, but then again, may be they could do this is because of the limited time and budget constrain.

Sometimes it's too much of a good thing.  I wish GT5 would have came out already.

If they have unlimited budget, I think PD would purchase the car licenses like Turn 10, so they don't have such issues with the manufacture and car deformation.

If they have unlimited budget, I think they would have purchased all the missing supercars licenses.

If they have unlimited budget, PD would have hired more artists and engineers to speed up the development of the game.

why every sony boy when we're talking about Forza vs GT only poiont out the graphics and not actual gameplay? sorry, but gameplay wise Forza 2 will still probably beat Gran Turismo 6. PD has a long history of releasing almost the same game over and over just making the graphics look better. while we can see constantly improvement in Forza series i really can't tel the difference aside from gfx and number of cars/tracks between Gran Turismo 1-4.

I wish GT5 would be out too and I agree it's remarkable Turn10 has been able to put out 2 games during GT5 develoment.  We don't know much about how GT5 is going to be so it's early too judge PD work, when we see it we will judge if it was time well spent or not.  Regarding the budgets, I honestly couldn't care less.

About GT5P being a bumper car ride, I can't agree.  GTP5 is a fantastic game despite being very limited in circuits, cars and options in general, it's got the best graphics for a racing game/sim and physics are a huge step from GT4 (not a sim).  You should give it a try, if you don't own a PS3 and own a 360, stick to Forza.

In one hand, it'll provide much needed pressure relief on many overloaded blue balls.

On the other, it'll span hundreds of screen comparisons, video comparisons, handling comparisons with all the fanboy banter you can expect from such events.

Anyways I like racing games so I hope they make a great job.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

Sonyboy... , that made me smile, are we back to kindergarden?

To answer your question, you may want to check again the title of this thread.

Yes. PD used official manufacture data from Nissan for the GT-R because Nissan is a huge partner and sponsor for GT.

Nissan even provided their engineers and driver to test the handling of the GT-R in GT5P to provide feedbacks.

Anyways, this has nothing to do with my questions for waron.

I love to hear the tech/experience support for their better physics claim.

So far I haven't heard any from all the people who made the better physics claim.
