Damn! I got goosebumps!

@ Psrock, there are already racing game modes in Halo 3 multiplayer... So yeah...

Well I didn't enjoy Halo 3 that much but unfortunately I'm not the biggest fan of shooters that rely on multiplayer almost exclusivly (I did enjoy Halo 1 multiplayer but I also liked the story). The books are pretty cool - hopefully they will have this sequel incorporate the rest of the guys not just Master Chief. Anyways another game to pick up for the 360 when I get the money to buy one (expected: 2012)

How is having halo every year a bad thing?  I'm loving it!! most people don't understand how deep the halo story actually is.

Also i can name so many games that have yearly titles, that are mostly always great.  Your guys attempts at trolling are beyond pathetic.

Halo:Reach the prequel to the first Halo:CE. Halo 4 could well and truly be the last minute Bungie surprise announcement as being in the works and release date unknown as of yet.

while this is a prequel it is also a side-story. Hopefully we are wrong and this entails what happens to the other Spartans up to and during Master Chief's battle on Earth.

From all the teaser footage and details so far, it is going to directly follow the story of Halo: Fall of Reach.  That means MC 117 is not going to play a big role.  The book basically covered the creation of the spartans, up to the battle and Reach (which MC does not take part in because the Pillar of Autumn made a slipspace jump to get some of the covenant ships to follow... aka the beginning of Halo 1).

Some Spartan characters include:  Fred, Will, Kelly, and this amazing sniper spartan that I can't think of right now, as well as a few more.

So basically this game takes place before/during the same time as Halo: CE, but should end way before Halo 2 or Halo 3 battle for Earth.

Another Bungie Halo = another massive success and awesome game. Cannot wait.

I know the books. But you never know if they might add a bit more to it.I want to know how they survived the glassing of Reach and if they continued and form of battle afterwards.
