Forums - Nintendo - Rumor - Miyamoto to show up at conference and announce something

May 31, 2009 by The News Team Filed Under: Nintendo in general

“…The only other thing I will say though, is Miyamoto is going to be announcing something. We’re meeting with them during the show for an interview so I’m going to pretty much speculate that something’s going on with him. Either Mario or Zelda. Or he could be talking about the next Pikmin game which is also rumored…I still think there’s going to be a new Zelda.” - Director of Gaming Editorial on G4TV.com, Billy Berghammer

Miyamoto is going to be talking about something at the show...I mean, he's not coming just to hang out! Is it going to be this mysterious Mario game that the Japanese press is talking about?

Pikmin 3 sounds very likely, but this is just a rumour, so don't take it as a granted thing.

Pikmin 3 would be cool but Zelda would be epic.

Pacman taught people to run around in dark rooms munching on pills while listening to repettive techno music and for that I somewhat idolise him.

Hopefully it's zelda

If Miyamoto didn't announce something at E3 I would be severely disappointed.

I predict Miyamoto will announce Wii Zelda, SMG2, and Pikmin 3 all at E3. That would be great. In reality I expect at least two of them to be announced at E3, and one's announcement to be saved for a later time.

Rumor? Miyamoto always comes out and shows something...but I doubt it'll be Zelda.

It could also be this rumored mario game.

Alright I know this is never going to happen but last year Miyamoto said that both the Zelda and Mario teams were hard at work on new games. Nintendo held back the last two years releasing pretty much no new games only a small trickle everything else we had heard about at E3 2006.

So I'm going to say this, what if EAD Kyoto (Zelda team) and EAD Tokyo (Mario Galaxy team) have finished their products. Could both rumours of a new Mario and new Zelda both be true. What if we saw the new Mario , New Zelda , new Pikmin and new Donkey Kong all revealed at this years E3. Not to mention Retro's next project and the projects from the other half dozen first and second party studio's that haven't shown anything for the last few years.

Last year Nintendo held a conferance for the non gamers the casuals. This year they could slaughter Sony and Microsoft's conferance by assaulting the core gamers with everything they can muster.

Of course don't get too exited because aside from E3 2006 I don't think a new Mario game and Zelda game will be announced side by side. But Nintendo would kill the competition if they did!
