I think the reason why they would break the bank for this year and next year at the same time is because in 2010 they have to switch their developers to next generation projects.

Excellent list.  I would add Splinter Cell and Alan Wake to that list as well.

Halo 4 is impossible to announce at this years E3 because the focus is big on Halo 3 ODST.

If it is announced, I'm predicting it's going to be an offshoot of sorts.  Like Halo Wars.  Maybe this is Peter Jackson's project?  His game was supposed to be related to Halo right?  But it would be stupid to hype up Halo 4 when Halo: ODST has yet to be released.  Especially since Halo: ODST didn't even make the conference last year.

EDIT:  And in a similar line of thought, there's no way that Gears of War 3 is going to be announced at this E3.  They have yet to release the second piece of DLC for Gears of War 2.

Well, no one knows what Halo:Reach refers to.  Could be a ZuneHD game for all we know.

The knowledge that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was coming out in 2009 didn't kill interest in World at War now did it?
