The only reason why I believe it could be a leak is the interview. They do not really talk details that much, don't show any gameplay from unannounced titles, don't talk about price, or what existing users are going to do with their UMDs

Maybe the Quore episode was supposed to be a taster and to lure interested people into watching Sony's conference. Who knows?

I think Im probably right in saying that this was an intentional leak, and I think you are probably right in saying that all the element of surprise has been taken away from Sony's actual conference.

I think the 'creative marketing' comment was very good Btw

It's like I said in the other thread, this is like when Nintendo announced the Wii name.  It's a radical change, if they waited for E3, then the shock would have hurt the image of the overall company and the products they are trying to deliver.  By announcing it early, which is what I am calling (not a leak) it because it was from Sony's official press, Tuesday, they can focus on the features and that will be the news.

There's absolutely no information on the new Metal Gear game.  That will also feature prominantly in the E3 news.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

All the buzz Kojima's sturred up with multiple countdown timers can't just be for a PSP game...

4 ≈ One

It was a screw up, plain and simple. Just like the news site that leaked the Zune HD before the embargo date

Read other comments before posting, there is a 95% chance in wasnt

^Or actually it depends what you are talking about. Yes Sony likely screwed Kojima's plans but the PSP Go was not a leak (screwup)

I feel obliged to point out that Sony is basically incompetent when it comes to Guerilla marketing. They have a long pedigree of epic failures, and they have a long history of god awful corporate security. The point being that Sony is far more likely to unintentionally screw up then it is for them to do intentionally leak information.

I am not just flaming Sony mind you. Anyone remember all I want for Xmas is a PSP, the infamous spray painting incident, the idiotic denial of impending price cuts leaked by retailers, and so on and so forth. Know the beast, and you know what it is and is not capable of. So I look at leaks as really unintentional.

The fact that members feel they know so much about the Sony press conference is quite shall we say the confirmation of what I am saying. We all expect Sony to leak like a bucket that was taken to the shooting range.

Am I wrong in thinking that by "Metal Gear Solid on PSP" he meant the original PS version?

It was intentional but was it a good idea. Just because they planned it doesn't make it the right move. Press conference impact has definetly been lessened days before the conference.

Go Team Venture! I still don't get the Wii, PS Move,  and Kinect.

I wouldn't think of it as unintentional, they are just hyping everything up for E3.

Dont forget that the leaked video was not meant to be leaked :P, plus a MGS5 announcement is 10x bigger then a MGS PSP announcement.
