I can't wait till Blu-ray gets really cheap, especially the movies. I love the hard coating... it's so sexy.

i think 99 dollars will be huge. That should be a prime price.

players are already $168, while $99 is a great price, it is pretty cheap now. Its just marketing it is a pain in the rear having players and discs a large distance from one another. Wal-Mart is solving this issue.

Unfortunately, Lord of the Rings is only the theatrical version, not the extended version. After owning all three extended editions, I just can't go back. Now, if they released the extended versions on Blu-ray...

The definitive versions have been out forever in a format called 'book' that requires no power!

At this price, people who continue to buy upconverting DVD players need to be sterilized.

Unless they drop the price of the PS3 this could be a blow to sales. Since these are Chinese companies making the players with cheap labor they can afford to cut costs but I don't think the blu-ray player Sony uses in their machines are as easy to cost reduce as these cheaper counter parts.
