Not you again capt. jack... I didn't say wii isn't a console, i said its a family console which is still a console, just not one met for you're normal solo/online gamer-type console.

Basicly its a console that can only truly be enjoyed to its maximum with other people to play with. As a solo unit if you own a PS3/360 along with a wii, most gamers WILL infact game on the PS3 or there 360 i know of very few who dont do this unless family is there to play aswell.. Though i suppose you would be one of them out of a limted amount. :D

Nah, pretty much straight-forward that time. :)

1- And that is true in a way, kicking dickheads asses is awesome, but it is FAR from the maximum for the PS3 and 360, of course wwith them you have higher def games, bigger games, best 3rd party games, online chat both text and voice, and did i mention 3rd party support of epic proportions? yeah...

 

2- RE5, SFIV, SCIV, Dark Athena(A game you've played on PSN), GTAIV.... the list goes on and on, the best 3rd party games are on the HD consoles and thats not counting great exclusives i could but won't mention...

 

3- Point across deny it all you want buddy, people who own all 3 or 2 will more then the likely choose there HD console to game on the most while the Wii just gets its "Dust" on or on hold for parties, otherwise its an "extra" good to have console In my Honest opinion among many others who've said the same thing.

 

4- I'd like to see a poll here on the chartz who plays which console more FOR THEM SELF (No family horse shit or teh casualz) Im willing to bet its PS3 or 360 and Wii doesn't even come close as being most played/ main console of choice TO be Played. :P

2- The Wii has Nintendo games, which is the main reason of why people get it, just look at the chartz and you will see it.

3- Ok, now you say things like if your opinion are facts, where's the link where it says that people who all consoles will prefer the HD? If that were the case, wouldn't at least 1 HD console outsell the Wii? I know many people who have both consoles and prefer the Wii.

4- Polls here on VGC in those situation are as useful as community scores, to see that it's better to see the software sold and the play time.

Honestly guy, not everyone shares your opinion, in fact sales show people don't share it, but that'd be too logical... and yeah I don't talk to random people on the internet for a reason, cause most people playing online are those 12 to 15 year old children that end up being annoying and think they're hardcore to the maxorz, or you have the old guy that sits there and plays video games all day and you can tell he's just a tub of lard sitting there saying internet memes he's too old to fully understand and should be going out and making something of his life, it happens in every random game I play, and I never play with anyone on my friends list on PSN unless it's LBP, but even then it's more fun to play with real life friends cause I'm actually social...

 

As far as quality games they're on all systems, thats the only real fact here... and when you realize that then people will stop taking issue with your comments cause people don't appreciate you saying a console you don't own nor play nor even give half a chance to, is crap, and your only proof is your opinion... there comes a point in time when IMHO doesn't work anymore...

The two old arch rivals (NES/PC) are now the two extremes of the gaming spectrum and today perfectly compliment each other.

The arguments aimed at Wii compared to PS3/360 are the same arguments that can be levelled at 360/PS3 when compared with PC. Worse graphics, too simple ("casual"?), less non-gaming features or put simply......."my console is more PC-like than yours".

The Wii is a console ? It's marketing often suggests to me, that it's a fitness/self-improvement device.

I respect the Wii's gaming capabilities and it's phenomal new controller concepts, but I wonder why it's frenetic fans call it the only "pure console", when Nintendos marketing clearly says otherwise.

You mentioned a curious point that i have been noticing in this generation. Why do people prefer Online over lan? What's so funny about beating random people who you probably won't ever see again that makes you prefer it over lan? I just don't understand, with lan you can see people faces, you can brag about winning, you can hit the people, etc etc. I'm not saying online is bad, sometimes it's impossible to go to some friends house and play and when your friends aren't available is a great option to play and feel good about beating other people, but i fail to see the amazing magic of online (unless you don't have friends of course..).

I honestly can't answer that, if I play random online games I don't want to hear nor see the person I'm playing, so no burnout cam or speaking on CoD4... I play I have fun I leave... done... if I want to talk to someone I'll have them over at my house or I'll go over to their house and play video games with them.  Me and my friends play a ton of LBP together and half of it is just us slapping each other and messing up the others sackboy costume.  To me if your social outlet is playing games online with people you don't know it's pretty sad...

one of the main reasons I don't play online with voice chat...

I totally get what you're trying to say, but everyone made up their mind when they read the thread title. No amount of arguing will really change anyone's mind, either for or against. People will just misinterpret to their heart's content. Too bad, this should have been a discussion on the different values of the big three, but it's just an argument over semantics it seems.
