The last level of Killzone 2 was definitely heart racing. Damn I loved that fight!!! Best boss fight in a shooter yet, Gears and Halo has nothing to match. (<< All my opinion!!) I would know since I have all these games, except Killzone, since I don't own a PS3. However, my friend has one and he brings it over quite often, because my television is way bigger and HD!!

Aaahhh, you've got to adjust this post dude, it contains a MAJOR spoiler.

Your quote is spoiling now, lol!!  But thanks for the advice.

I have both and I disagree, Killzone 2 > Gears 2.

@ CGI and Ultibankai

You guys keep quoting the spoiler. ¬_¬

Hi guys

I have a 360 and a PS3, I have Uncharted, MGS4, KILLZONE 2 and Forbidden Siren to the PS3. I have lot's of games to the 360. I use the 360 more mostly because of the online service, LIVE.

Recently I bought KILLZONE 2 to play and test it, I wanted to see for myself, and yes, the graphics are great, the campaign is good, the online options are good, everything seems good, but.....

But it's just not as fun, as challenging, as heart pounding and adrenaline rushing as Gears of War 2. Gears it's the best MP game out there, even with the lag problems.

Nice game anyways. This is my opinion and does not reflect the opinion of SONY, MICROSOFT or anyone else.

Uncharted 2 multiplayer is gona poop all over GoW2's.

Gears 2 and Uncharted 2 are totally different games. Gears 2 is brutally disgusting game with better weaponry and finishers, while Uncharted is a great game with nice cover and interaction with the level itself.

Both are 3rd person shooters and have online multiplayer, so they certainly aren't "totally" different, they just arent the exact same. With that said, Uncharted 2 is going to own the 3rd person shooter, hectic bullets flying everywhere genre.

MSI GT725-074 owner..... TRUE BEAST.. COD4 is a different game on PC.

I never played either Uncharted, nor GeoW I and II, but isn't GeoW a standard cover system shooter, whereas Uncharted 2 also emphasizes platforming and stealth?

op and starcraft. You haven't played it in a clan yet which is basicly half the game, so you have no clue of what you've missed out on. Therefore you cannot make a full judgement of the online system being that the clan system is such a huge integrated part of that.

Clan matches are much more fun then regular matches, oh but I know you don't care about that starcraft, you just wanted to troll. As always.

I haven't played in a clan in GeoW 1 or 2 or Halo 3 either...

At the end of the day I was making judgement based on two things.  The first is single player, in which Gears 1 and 2 are better than Killzone 2 easily, and Halo 3 is around the same.

The second is local gaming co-op, in which Gears 1 is good, Gears 2 is amazing (horde=drool) and Halo 3 is ok.  Killzone 2 has none.

SO you are saying it has worse multiplayer judging on gametypes it doesn't have instead of comparing the ones it does have with the equals of the other games ?

That's like saying fable 2 sucks cause it's multiplayer is terrible. Because it has none.

And i also disagree with the singleplayer thing. Your points are usually just an attempt to spin something in your favour, but this time you didn't only fail to spin it you managed to horribly void your own point.

Words cannot describe how badly you have just failed.  I didn't mention online at all in my original post.  If you are referring too my agreement with the OP and assuming I was agreeing with his online points, all he said was "the online options were good."

It has a worse single player than either Gears game.  The story is not as good (though the first Gears story isn't great either) and you never care (and often dont remember the names of) about the characters.  In addition to this, Killzone 2 has no local co-op of any kind, something that has become a staple of shooters.  It's funny you should mention Fable 2, as it DOES have local co-op.

It's really quit simple.  Once you get past the very impressive graphics, Killzone 2 has a good, but not great, single player campaign.

Are you saying Fable 2 should be judged by its co-op modes?

I don't see where I said anything of the sort.  But I did say that Fable 2 does HAVE a co-op mode.  Remember, it was Staude that brought up that glorious game

Gears is TPS and have shitty online according to huge amount of peoples. And lol at Xbox fans spoiled by shooters, every AAA shooter is multiplat apart from Halo 3. But PS3 got recently another triple AAA shooter exclusively and MAG is also coming this fall. Expect 360 line-up at E3 to be alteraly of multiplats just like last year.

Actually, no. This year expect a lot of 1st, 2nd and 3rd party titles out of Microsoft which are exclusive. This year is very different if you've been paying attention (I'll assume you haven't since you don't seem to have a clue).

-Left4Dead is exclusive to the 360 out of all the the consoles. If you want an adrenaline rush of a shooter, thats the game to play.

-Gears 2 is great and doesn't have shitty online. It only messed up on me once when it came out and never again since. First of all you're going on what you've heard rather than playing it, so I suggest you shut up.

-Halo 3, what can I say, still the best.

-Huxley is an unreal tournament style deathmatch game which is coming exclusively to the 360.

-Perfect Dark was a great game. We could be seeing a part 2 at E3 so keep assuming.

Mag is just another Socom with more players. When that game comes out, no one will care about Socom. On consoles 360 fans have the most diverse shooters. Technically they are spoiled. PS3 shooters all have the same genral idea and have no creativity.

I'm sorry dude, as a person who used to have a lot of respect for your posting, I must speak up. This here is bogus, you talk about no creativity? WoW.....I really don't get that. ALL of Sony's shooters are different from one another, and offer quite unique experiences. Also, how can MAG be another Socom, MAG isn't even in 3rd person to start with. I mean, if you're talking FPS, Resistance and Killzone are still VASTLY different, regardless of genre.

You would have thought that Sony did something personal to you, I'm seriously surprised at this post here. I thought you were better than that.....

-All PS3 shooters exclusive  FPS are military shooters.

-They dont approach gameplay in new ways (adding more character doesnt count).

-Don't have interesting characters. They are all military types.

-Their weaponry is far too similar.

-Their attempt at multiplayer is still generic.

No similarities my friend?

LOL!! You thought he was better?  CGI, where have you been; I mean you were a member of this site way before me, and have yet to realize STAGE's major bias?  He makes ridiculously false claims about the PS3 sometimes, so I thought it hard to not realize his not-so-subtle bias towards the 360.  Usually when he posts, especially in PS3 threads, I just ignore what he has to say or I risk becoming furious and argueing with him.

I dont have a major bias.
