Is Lunar Silver Star Harmony a remake of Lunar: Silver Star/port of Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete?

Here's what Game Arts producer had to say:

Masato Dobashi: Lunar: Silver Star Harmony is basically a remake of the Sega Saturn version. The battle system is also based on the Sega Saturn version, but the graphics have been updated significantly.

During battle, you can manually instruct your character to run up to the enemy to attack, or you can let the AI take over.

Thanks.

OK, that's basically the same version as Working Design released for the PS in 1999 (without the goodies). And the Saturn Version is a remake of the Sega CD version. The Saturn version apparently had slightly better visuals than the PS version.

I wonder if they'll ever make a new decent Lunar game...

That's up to Game Arts...

Oh, how I miss PS1-era Japan...

How many times has that game been remade? Wasn't it also remade for the GBA?

Not as many times as Ys zexen my friend ;)

Never played Ys. Though I did play the PS remake of Lunar, didn't like it much, if I might add. I mean, it wasn't bad or anything like that, it just seemed like nothing special

I wish to finally play that piece of %@/#

Why am I calling it that? it's because it's so damn expensive on ebay.

I tell you, you'd better spend that money in Suikoden II, it's far better. I mean, it's not like Lunar is a bad game, just don't pay overprice for it.

Or you might want to betray your beliefs, bite the bullet, and, y'know...do "that"

Suiko II is so damn rare and sought for that it costs like 2 copies of Lunar, haha.

Add $50 and get an X360.

I really liked Lunar: SSSC

The story was good and the characters very likeable. The script and dialogue was very good for its time. But I prefer the Suikoden games as well, especially the first which is still one of my favourite Playstation games ^^
